I will try to respond to your problems and questions as soon as possble. Sorry I cannot answer any Mac question I haven't touched a Mac in years.. Edit: I have now expanded into helping with programming issues too  (C++ stuff only though) (This has been a Paid Service Annoucment.) Ok Here's a post with some usefull links. I will keep updating this as needed. If you don't know about this site and you are a Windows User you need to know about this. This site will patch your os with any of the bugs in any Windows OS. http://www.windowsupdate.com A good piece of software to have. This will scan your computer for any kind of spyware that any freeware or shareware program that you download and install. http://www.lavasoftusa.com or you can try spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html *NOTE* Don't have both installed or they will say each other is spyware. I like spybot better. A good free anti-virus program.. If you don't have a anti-virus I recommend you do. http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php This site is good for information on ISP's(Internet Service Providers). It alos has a great little toolset for testing your internet connection and the forums are helpful for tweaking your pc to get the most out of your connection. http://www.broadbandreports.com Do you have windows XP or 2000 and a great video card? Seem to be stuck at about 60FPS, even though you say like com_maxfps 120? Simple fix http://www.ryanmh.com/files/reforce.zip is a fix for a Windows Bug that locks your frame rate at 60 fps when you can get higher. All you do is unzip that run it, click auto populate, hit Apply and reboot and boom FPS allover the place _______________ When a Man lies he murder's some part of the world. Hey guys, I've got a kinda weird problem going on, I can play this game on my own pc without having a problem but when I (after I installed it correctly) booted the game up at my brothers pc (with the correct cd blah blah blah) it gave me a warning saying my screensize was recommended to be 1280 * 1024. It did so while turning the entire screen black apart from one white colored pop-up, so I can't change the options or see something in any way. Ok I got a little interesting thing going on here... Anyone familiar with coupling output of a filter program (i.e. awk) directly into a database, with that database (Oracle SQL) do some queries and export that output to i.e. Excel or another spreadsheet program. And btw I got some weird problem! I am just playing and than my game just crashes it doesn't say some kind of error message, my screen just turns black, and it returns to my desctop(sorry can't spell it good lol).I restart and everything runs fine for a few hours...You know what this is? I HAD THAT TOO! THE CLOSE THINGY PROBLEM! It said 5 times that it had to close my game because it found a problem  I brought my pc to the shop and that guy made it! |

SoL: if you're running on an ATi video card, I have a hunch your problem (and I'm having the same one) is caused by a bug in Catalyst versions more recent than 4.11. I get that problem too Scythus, I always just figured it was my browser (Opera) connecting to the web and loading information as well as settings. When you just create a new window with others open it's just another instance of the already running process soit doens't have to access the hard drive. My suggestions, get more RAM, get a faster hard drive, and close some of the unnecessary programs on your computer (examples: weatherbug, AIM, etc.) _______________ I must not fear . *Annoys Orion* K seriously I'm having a little bit of trouble with my browser(s). When I open it for the first time (if there isn't one already open) it takes ages to load the first page, after that it loads fine. When I close it and open it again it takes ages again (like a minute). This happens with both firefox and IE. I've scanned for spyware and virii.
