Sorry I cannot answer any Mac question I haven't touched a Mac in years..

Ok Here's a post with some usefull links. I will keep updating this as needed.

If you don't know about this site and you are a Windows User you need to know about this. This site will patch your os with any of the bugs in any Windows OS.

A good piece of software to have. This will scan your computer for any kind of spyware that any freeware or shareware program that you download and install.

*NOTE* Don't have both installed or they will say each other is spyware. I like spybot better.

A good free anti-virus program.. If you don't have a anti-virus I recommend you do.

This site is good for information on ISP's(Internet Service Providers). It alos has a great little toolset for testing your internet connection and the forums are helpful for tweaking your pc to get the most out of your connection.

Do you have windows XP or 2000 and a great video card? Seem to be stuck at about 60FPS, even though you say like com_maxfps 120? Simple fix http://www.ryanmh.com/files/reforce.zip is a fix for a Windows Bug that locks your frame rate at 60 fps when you can get higher. All you do is unzip that run it, click auto populate, hit Apply and reboot and boom FPS allover the place

My Windows Media Player has stopped working. It's an older version, I dunno which one. It's on Windows Millennium. When I click on it, it does nothing. I've tried downloading the newest version several times, and my computer freezes every time. The computer is 2 or 3 years old and a living piece of crap. Help me out here. Friend...

Also HIjackThis http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html is very useful at diagnosing pcs and fixing spyware, lag and speed issues. download at and upload the log and ill analysi it for you

Hi, I got a digital camera for my birthday, and after taking sevral pictures realized i didn't have the red eye reduction on. So now i have tons of pictures with really bad red eye. Otherwise they are great pictures. I would like to edit this out, but can't afford photoshop. I was wondering if you know of any good free programs that could help me do so, and if so.....good user tips on those programs (in other words where the red eye fixing features are at)

Well, you need to enable ICS on both machines. Set the ip on the host to 192.168.0.1 with subnet 255.255.255.0, on the client to 192.168.0.2 with the same subnet, and set the IP of the host as the proxy and DNS server. That took me 1 week and a 5 hour night session to get working. Windows hates me.

And finally, NOD32 is THE definitive antivirus product, 30day trials are free and the product can be downlaoaded and reinstalled if you're tight with cash at the time. But if you can afford it, buy it, it is more effective than Norton, McAfee, AVG and even Panda.

I'm on Windows XP and I want to route all the traffic my computer does to another ip within my network. Basically do a proxy server to the internet. Any ideas what programs I should use, how to learn more, or exactly how to do it? Help would be appreciated very much.

I've told you before I wont give out the JAR Code, look for the OJP (open jedi project) or a jk2 mod that has been opensourced. A JK2 mod is VERY simialr to a JK3 mod.

noadware and bps work pretty good together and dont eat eachother too badly and cwshreddar is just nice for the bigger nasties out there

you may have spyware, look at the perm post for links to some apps to get rid of it, or you may have a virus or soemthing. There might be some background proccess eating up your CPU

I have a problem!! Ok anytime I run a game whether it be jk3, ffxi, kotor, whatever. The game runs really bad! Its like the screen as you move, goes in slow motion. Its horrible! I first noticed it in ffxi, but then I went to play jk3 and it was there too. Then I tried Kotor, same thing. Any ideas? We did a defrag on my pc. I also updated the latest driver on my graphics card. The card is a Geforce 4600 i think. Any idea what the problem can be? HELP ME!!!

EDIT: Oh ya, my memory is fine. Only 1/3 full.

Windows won't let me close lsass. However when I reboot, I get two lsass processes, and it lets me close the false one. I'm assuming that's spyware, no?

Suppeh...

Just got the internet hooked up to my crappy comp at school (p3 600MHz...yea...) but now that it's up, it's fartin on me. Every 5 mins or so I get a 'shut down warning' box that I can't close or bypass. It gives me one minute to save all my stuff before the comp restarts. The reason is because the 'lsass' process dies.

Any ideas?
