All this JA store/donations stuff has gotten me thinking... we could really use a new logo. the one we have is nice, but it's quite plain. various people have offered to make us a new one, but this thread is to officially announce that if you'd like to make us a logo, go for it. we'll look at all of them. this isn't a competition, so there's no prize other than your name getting mentioned for making the best logo, and we'll stop taking them once we find the "best" one, but until then, if you're into photoshopping and such, we'd love your help. make it good! _______________ -Academy Leader/Dictator/Defeater of DJ Sith and JACen Solo in the JAK+ Tournament -I do think it (the JA) will help convert dozens, maybe hundreds, to the dork nation... --me |

I already asked NightCrawler to make us one since I know he's a designer IRL. But hey, the more ideas the merrier.
Here's my only restrictions (these are for the possible case of us selling merchandise): 1) It can't include any logo, character, etc that is part of the Star Wars trademark. Getting sued != fun. 
2) Most of the cafe press merch is white, so the logo would have to look good on a white background. 3) Cafe press is a print outfit, so make your logo's at the VERY least 200DPI. That all bieng said I was planning a graphic overhaul of the JA site. I've got a test image up at: http://academy.jediknightii.net/images/wtf_is_this.jpg Ignore the silver rectangle thing around it. I'm probably going to shrink this down a little vertically. I'm imagining the logo would go in the top left hand corner of the site with my pic to the right and the menu below it. I'm planning a more "modern" look to the site and one that will have more of an "academy" feel to it (as opposed to the back of kyle's head ) Have fun! _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |
