Let me begin with <explicative> <explicative> <explicative> <explicative> <explicative>!!!!! I get JA and I'm all excited! I wait anxiously with it in my car because I go to work between when I buy it and play it. Hell I'd have had it yesterday if they didn't push back the ship date to EB games! Then, I go and install it. It get all my chores and HW done just to play. I join a server.... LAG. Another... Lag. Damn, I hope my copy isn't fudged. So I restart. Yay! No lag anymore. Ok, so playing and. What? A lamer? Oh he's so going down... another?! Another?! Wait! This whole server is full of them! Only one respectible player! "Stop killing me with saber down!" "Hey, my chat box was open!" They just don't stop. They call me lame or even... n00b! I can't believe it! I've been playing since Dark Forces Demo! I'm no n00b! And why does no one here follow the saber down rule?! So.. ok. Mabye it's just this server. Try another... LAMERS!!!! Stop killing me when saber is down! That's it! I'm taking you all down one at a time, with no saber! (5 minutes later) Oh, now they complain I use grip too much! It is to laugh. Fudge this! I'm going to JK2. I can't stand lamers. Ok, join JediTraining(24/7). Playing... LAMER! Another?! And no admin?! WTF!!!! I can't take it anymore! What happened to honor?! What happened to the Jedi?! _______________ I must not fear . Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear . I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. Gom gom gom gom gom! |

Exactly as Jake says, you don't join a server and start dictating rules, if there are specific server rules that state no laming, then upon seeing lamers, you may complain, otherwise, join the club. _______________ JiM |

I don't wanna turn this into an honour code flame war, cos you know the feelings on this  The fact is, if its on the server rules that saber down = peace, then fair enough. But you CANNOT go on a random public and expect them to play by YOUR rules. You're there by choice, if you don't like how they play (properly in my view  ) then leave. Ok there may not be many other servers to go to, but then thats your problem. If you wanna play it so bad, why are you just standing around saber down anyway ? I experienced the same thing when i went online last night. I was very dissapointed, but like someone said before, most people are newbies when the game comes out. When i first started jk2 i was a laming noobie and It took me a while to learn the jedi ettiquette (mostly due to the JA). i believe everyone start a new online game as lamers (unless they play the previous version before like jk2.etc) and slowy they will learnt..... i'm sure every one had done lame things before in a new game so juz understand it and ignore them they will learn sooner or later This comment was edited by StarMoon on Sep 18 2003 09:26am. |
