I have been having problems with my router. I can't get any servers to come up in outcast or JA, I click refresh and it does nothing. When I disconnect my pc from the router and run straight into the cable modem from my PC it will work and refresh fine. So my question is how do configure the router to get the refresh request to work. I can't disconnect from the router fat all b/c that would also disconnect my roomates. I have a linksys router. I've called tech support and they have no clue what i'm talking about,... so fellow students, council, knights, trainers..... well, in my LAN we got a router... and i got the same prob... so i got myself a damn 56K (which i hope ima upgrade to a nice ADSL)... i think the problem is that the router might not know which computer requested the data, so it won't send it back... the port thing is a problem, but i think the major prob is the above _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

CT chosen one has spoken your best bet. You need to open the ports on the router so you can play. Do this buy opening up IE and typing in your router's address should be 192.168.1.1 that is the default. A configuration screen should appear and you should be able to open up those ports. You need to open udp/tcp port 28070 for jk2 and 29070 for jk3. If you look at your "router login page" you should have something where you can configure it. Look for virtual servers or something to that degree. And add these to ports to be opened! Hope this helps some :/ _______________ Get busy living, or get busy dying. |
