Dual sabre/sabre staff thoughts

Dual sabre and sabre staff should have been implemented completely differently.

Here's how it should be: EVERY move, even the most basic attack, with those sabre choices should be a "special" that the player has to learn how to do.

Remember when you were a noob learning how to do some of the trickier combos? They were frustrating at first but with practice became second-nature. The basic attacks, however--left upper, left side, left lower, and so on--were just a matter of pushing attack while moving in the appropriate direction.

Well EVERYTHING you do with double sabres is special and unusually difficult, just like a single-sabre Special or combo. Moreover, there are far more than twice as many possible attacks. A left-upper attack with the lefthand sabre could be combined with a right-lower attack with the righthand, or a left-lower, and so on. Since there are eight different _basic_ attacks with single sabre, there should therefore be sixty-four basic attacks with dual sabre.

Now anyone can do two different attacks with two sabres alone in a practice room, but it's an entirely different thing to coordinate such moves Anakin-style in actual combat. So I think that not only should dual sabre have sixty-four different basic attacks, I also think that each one should be like a Special, requiring the player to learn a funky combination of keystrokes and get the timing of them exactly right in order to do it. And all sixty-four should be completely different from one another.

Sound harsh? Need to learn SIXTY-FOUR tricky moves just to do all the basic attacks with dual sabres? Well yeah, but it's DUAL SABRE! It should be mega-powerful (it currently isn't), _and_ it should be mega-difficult to do even the basic moves (it currently isn't).

Dual sabre is _supposed_ to be astonishingly difficult. It should separate the men from the boys! As it is now, it really doesn't. If it were implemented as I suggest, any bozo could step out onto the challenge mat with dual sabres, but if he only knew a couple of moves it would become quickly apparent that he is unworthy to carry two sabres. A True Badass with dual sabre would swagger out onto the mat and effortlessly execute an unpredictable variety of attacks.

On top of that there should be a whole bunch of specials/combos, and they should be abso-*#@%ing-lutely mind-blowingly difficult to learn and execute consistently. They should also be devastating, one-shot kills like RDFA, but counterable by a sharp player.

Sabre staff is similar. It might not have sixty-four different basic attacks like dual sabre, but it does have a lot of basic moves that are radically different from single-sabre style that it would require a bunch of different basic attacks. There should be numerous types of spins and twirls--right, left, front, behind the back, over the head. Plus there are "one-two punch" attacks with first one end of the staff and then the other, like high-left-then-high-right, high-left-then-low-right, and so on. On second thought maybe there should be sixty-four basic attacks with it.

And ditto on each and every one requiring a special keystroke sequence and perfect timing for sabre staff. This too should be very powerful but also very difficult, another separating-men-from-boys scenario. If you want to be Darth Maul, you need to earn it!

Okay, I was just power dueling, and won 8 rounds in a row using the single saber.

Problem: The powerful moves in dual/staff require force needed for actually using force powers.

I now agree. The dual and staff should have more depth and be a bit more powerful.

Why should our government send our soldiers to foreign soil to protect freedom of speech, when our freedom of speech is being taking away everyday by the same government.

How so?

A newb gets beaten like a rented mule by a more experienced player anyway.
