| Cinematic locks up? | |

I'm playing the SP game, and, without spilling too many story details, I'm in the middle of a really dramatic cut scene when suddenly the cinematic pauses forever. I don't mean the action freezes or that the game crashes--I just mean the cut scene changes to a scene of Kyle and some black guy standing in front of some flames...and stays that way forever! The flames animate and all that, not like it freezes, but nothing happens. When I hit the Use key to skip the cinematic I see the text that says "skipping cinematic," but nothing of the sort happens. I have to ctl-alt-delete out of it. Has anybody seen this behavior? _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |

hmmmm, during some cinematics and somwtimes when it loads the game the thing at the bottom of the screen comes up(with start and all that) and it showa jedi academy running and a program error. the only way out is to press exit, and it goes back 2 windows. usually it only does it once but it does it repeatedly on 1 cinematic so i cant get any farther any1 know what 2 do here? _______________ if at first you dont succeed, try and try again. if you still dont succeed, youve just wasted a whole lot of time trying something you just cant do

Mystery solved. Well, sort of. I went into setup and turned off subtitles in cinematics. When I tried again it didn't crash. The bug is 100% repeatable with subtitles on, doesn't happen with them off. That's not exactly a solution because it just means there's a bug with the subtitles, and they won't work for certain cinematics, but at least I can finish the game now. _______________ My signature is only one line. Enter does the same thing as the Use key. I've tried both. The cinematic still hangs forever. This is kind of a high-point of the story too. _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |
