darn it! i wanna play JK:JA with you guys! :p i haven't even seen what the game's like yet! just wanna say a quick hi to everyone  won't go through everyone, 'cos i'm bound to forget! and someone will kick my butti'm enjoy life over here in Beijing, food is sooooooo goddamn cheap!!! for about 3 US dollars i can eat so much food.., it hurts!and beer is cheap too, for a 700ml bottle of the local beer, its only something like 50 cents!!! its crazy.., i'm drinking like there's no tomorrow ehh.. the girls here are pretty good looking too hehe, shame i have a gf.. ehhehehebeen to see some of the sites, most impressive is the great wall! its really is pretty amazing, and so damn huge! even one small section was huge.., the damn thing stretches for a few 100 miles (not sure, someone look it up) over mountainous terrain! I'll try to read the posts next week but i'm off to shanghai, nanjing, taishan, jinan, qifu and suzhou next week i'm going with the uni students here, should be a laugh, and very tiring!Ok ok, enough BS hope you guys have fun, hahaha, you have 3 months before i come back to get good enough! haha then the owning will begin AGAIN! boo hoo, oh woe is me.. :p i've been forgotten already :p hehe, hey fizz, daidalus, yeah, get that practice in.., i've been hearing bad stories about the new jk:ja game.., shame.., was really looking forward to it! hopefully a new patch will be out before i get back, anyway off on my long trip tomorrow, oh yeah, that space thing, i'm not sure what is true.., but the wall is pretty thin i guess, so i'm not sure how you can see it.... but it is high up on the mountains.. it is really impressive though, and it didn't do its job anyway.., didn't genghis kahn still over run china after the wall was built? _______________ May the ping be with you |

Darksider, you are correct. It is not visible from space, per se, but only from a low orbit (but then so are alot of other large structures). The images commonly associated with the view of the Great Wall of China turn out to be radar images (hence not visible with the naked eye).
