Once again I was watching a Star Wars movie and found a fluke. I was watching Ep. 1, the part where Qui-Gon is trying to convince the council that Anakin is the "chosen one." Qui-Gon exclaims that he will take Anakin on as a second apprentice, when Windu says that the code forbids it. So how can the Masters here take on more than on apprentice? Doesn't the code forbid that? Just fuel for thought.:alliance:

Would be hard, since there are like 4500 Students, and only like 25 people who can take on official Padawans :)

Look, first of all I didn't mean going that far and acting out in public...yeah, that makes you a nerd, a dork, a fag..whatever. Second...I graduated 2 yrs. ago so, no you can't see me doing it right now (also the fact that you don't even know me). And Last, my last comment had nothing to do with following the Jedi Code.

In 'real life' SW (the Movies), the paddies seem to hang out with their Masters all (or most of) the time. In the games that's just not the case so more than one paddie works fine because you're not with all of them all of the time.

I don't think we should be too literal - as others have said, lets have fun and help others have fun too.:)

Yeah
imagination
Wonderful

So when you have problems at school, I can guess how you handle them

*takes out lightsaber*
"Darth Vader voice": You are unwise
The other guy is going like "wtf???!!!"
"Darth Vader voice": Don't be too proud of yourself. Your abilities are nothing compared to the powers of the Force.

I can see you do it right now

No seriously
I think that if you do that, then you're a nerd
But if we would follow the Jedi Code, we would have 5 ppl on this site (probably masadoobie, DJ Sith, cHoSeN oNe, Silent Whisper and Jacen 'Lone Wolf' Solo, the ppl that started it all)
The other 4000 ppl would all be banned, for breaking the rules

So following the Jedi Code isn't exactly the best thing to do, right?

Well, see, just because we're a little deeper into Star Wars than most people doesn't mean that we're nerds. I like to think of it as we accept the Star Wars reality above our own, and when we "pretend" we are a part of it we feel more comfortable. So even when we aren't playing the games and watching the movies we don't want to leave this great idea of a world so we all come here. Does that neccesarily make us nerds? I think not. In fact I think we are all lucky enough to have such wide imaginations. That's why we are the future. Our ideas evolve so quickly and our morals and ideas are so perfect that it's almost a flaw in our characters because no other generation can see it. Let's show them.:alliance:

We are a video game school first and foremost, and star wars nerds second. We do what's convenient before what's "correct". :)

ok first of all, roleplaying out the door Mr Jesus man :) The idea of padawans and masters etc is to train people in the game, when you have more than one it becomes more like holding mini classes, which is still fine.

What I don't get is when people I consider good players seek a master just beacuse they still get beaten at some stuff. Thats not only a waste of both people's time time but frikkin selfish to people who don't have a clue and need help.

In short, train who you can help and make them your friends, don't train your friends when they need no help.

i generally agree. the ideal number of padawans per master is 1.

however, since this is a game and we try not to be 100% nerds, it's ok to have more ;)

Well aren't you afraid more students would lead to the dark side under these conditions? I know I am. Perhaps more students who are ready to become Knights should be promoted to it so more students will have a master.:alliance:
