How To Become a Knight Instantly (No Points Needed)

Well first you start your own academy, and then you can call yourself a Jedi Knight or whatever you want.

It seems like lots of people (not everyone) are looking at this point and rank system as some sort of single player game. They just want to beat it. It’s fun to have goals, but far to often our society only focuses on what they can look forward to, instead of why they are even looking forward to it. What I’m trying to say is that if you are only focussed on getting to Knighthood as quickly as possible, you will be disappointed once you reach that goal like a child with a new toy. I guess this could go in the general discussion forum. I’m really not trying to offend anybody. I’ll leave you with this quote:

“This one a long time have I watched. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh! Excitement. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless!”

I heart you ioshee.

I know how much you admire my greatness, and poking me in the eye would be like some kind of kindergarden crush so I pull your hair and push you down in the playground sorta thing, so I'll forgive you ahead of time and give you permission to just go ahead and do it, just this once.

And before you even ask...No, you can't have an autographed 8 by 10. Sorry, just stop asking it's never going to happen. :P

Hmm. A dilemma: Arcuss is not off base here but I really want to poke him in the eye.

Have I told everyone here how much I love them lately?

I have a few post from earlier news threads on the very issue.

Taken from: This is what happens when the staff has a meeting...Dec 01 12:11am

Howdy kids, it's your friendly neighborhood Arcuss again. I just wanted to share some pearls of wisdom with you all. In your journeys to becoming JATs,JAKs,and even JACs, always keep in mind that each of these ranks come with a certain amount of responsibilities. Make sure that you are prepared to assume theses responsibilities before you apply for a higher rank. The ranks are more than just tittles of prestige, higher rank=more work. Always keep the Academy's purpose and needs in mind while you're thinking about how COOL it would to be a Knight,Trainer or Councilmen. Likewise, keep in mind that when you sign on to a server with one of these tags, you will have about 2 seconds before everyone there is on you with some sort of request or question.

A wise man once said: With Mogwai comes much responsibility...

And a wiser man than he said: every one wants to be a JAT or JAC. What they don't realize is that the day you become JAC is the day you stop playing the game..... -Unnamed Source

With that in mind, good luck on your trials. }=O)

p.s. Hope you don't mind me quoting you Unnamed.

In addition, I'd just like to say that these higher ranks are privileges not rights. In order to gain a privilege you must prove yourself a worthy recipient. This is nothing new kids, all societies throughout human history have had rites of passage. Here at the Academy it's no different
we have a ranking system as our rites of passage. As we progress through these ranks we come to a point were progression is only possible when those who came before us can recognize, in us, the embodiment of the values and ideas of the Academy. It's only then that we can expect to advance to higher levels.

How do I prove I'm worthy?
I'm glad you asked. Get on the servers, keep learning, teaching/helping others, be kind, follow the rules, and above all else just treat each and every player(no matter what their rank is) with the utmost RESPECT. These are pretty simple guidelines, don't you agree? With these guidelines, a little patients, and some maturity you're sure to progress beyond the lower ranks.

Ok, in case I'm totally off base here, I give the Council permission to poke me in the eye when next they see me.

wow,..nice words every1,.....i accidently found this topic and start reading it,..i found it very interesting,..coz its true,..most of the students try to reach the higer levels just to prove that with a nice tag they are the best and stuff,..but i dont think that the most of us think that way,..( by reading the comments here..) ,..i,..personaly,...go to the servers,..i mean,.the academy,.to have a great deal of fun with my friends that i have been known that withing the duels and time,...its really cool to find some1 who jokes and duel and have fun with u,..not just fight....and i really like the atsmosphere here at the academy (pretty friendly) ,..well,...all of these just makes me think of the guy who wanna reach the top of the mountain,..and only keep thinking in the top of it,..and try,..and try,..and try until he finally gets there,..happly stick his little flag to claim it,..and sits,..then he wait,..til he ask him self,..if it was really worth to get to that top,,..or it was better just to enjoy the ride?.....
well,....hope u got the point,...lol :)

I was just teasing Bubu. Chalk it up to jealousy of your super fly mad silx (note the “x” makes a “z” sound as in xylophone.) I know you are a fighter as well as a lover. hehe

Wow, Iori said it even better than I did. Probably because he was being sincere and I, as Bubu has pointed out, was just kissing popo. J/K. I was actually inspired by all the worrying about class points coupled with a conversation I had with a Knight. The Knight realized that he wasn’t enjoying himself as much because he felt he had nowhere left to go. I think he has since found his “special purpose” and is once again enjoying the position he has earned. Peace.

hehe, i find that i'm going to less classes these days..., actually i don't think i've been to a class apart from a trial class for about a month!
but i've still managed to learn a lot!
just from doing duels on the server, and other JAS i have been mutually helping with...
being a JAK is nice, its tag that says you have reached a certain stage. but just the same, there are many people here who are learners, jmans & initiates (winks at eljeton) who are highly skilled, great duellers and modest and humble, and could easily be JAKs. so i think the best way of earning respect from your peers is just the behavious you allow people to observe of you on the server, and to constantly better yourself. the JAK, JAT tags can wait, just enjoy the great atmosphere that we are lucky to have here at the academy :)
