I know I've heard in the past about students holding classes, and thejediacademy isn't going to officially sponsor them or anything, but what is the procedure? Can students still get a class on the class page? Can they use the classes server? Can we add more info about this on the FAQ page so people like me don't ask this quesiton again? Anyways, assuming I get a go ahead, another question: What is /g_debudmelee set to on the servers? If it's zero then, can we get a temporary switch to 1 for just the length of a class? I'm thinking about the "Way of the Ninja" class and showing people both stelth tactics (good for snipers) and teaching effective techniques for using the jk3 melee mode (not commonly known about). _______________ I must not fear . Faded students can ask JATs to host a class time on the server for them, but it depends if the JAT is The Grinch or Santa Claus  _______________ -ShadowSith: CTF/gunner specialist. |

One more question: If I hold a class on my own server, can I advertise here? That's ti for me, when I get an answer to that I'll let this thread sing into oblivion. _______________ I must not fear . you can have all the classes you want. the deal is though that you can't hold them on the classes server, you'll have to hold it home. you can't advertise it on the site, you'll have to do it through some other method i.e. the servers. you won't have any admin abilities, so if you have a troublemaker, it will be real difficult for you. your class can't get in the way of others. the home servers are public and everyone has the right to be there. other than that, go to it. we encourage students to teach other and help out. we like that sort of thing. |
