What is the purpose of JASE? I know what it stands for but what is the reason to have such an organization? Who developed it? Are you sure it's not just a popularity contest? I do know some of the members and I'm quite fond of them but something seems… disturbing about this JASE thing. Maybe someone could "ease" my inclinations a bit. I mean the name itself "The Jedi Academy Society of Excellence" suggests it to be a clique of sorts. Also why would The Jedi Academy need a "student government"? Why would students need to speak outside of The Jedi Academy Forums regarding The Academy's maters? Alright, The JASE was started by three best friends who wanted to do something for the JAS. Recognize those who deserve it. Those who go un-noticed. We also wanted to have a place where JAS can go and start learning to teach. Learning this from the best damn teacher this side of Yavin. (FaDed)....who is now a JAT, lol. We wanted to use our servers to offer things that students wanted. Instagib, cheats, fun stuff.... We are part of the JA in the respect that everything we do is based on the JA and only JAS can join. Excellence has nothing to do with skill. We are about having fun, being respectful and helping people. We have done our best. More is coming. If nothing else, it has been a great hobbie and we all have learned alot. Sorry you don't see the need. Maybe there is not one. But we decided to try something, we did it and that was that. And I did not mean to be sarcastic Dop, I apologize...rough week....oh and your approved on the site. although, i don't know why you registered if you disapprove of us, heh. Aphex the SE in the tags meen Socitety of(course theres no of in it but) Excellence just remove the JAS/P/A/K/or T from it and u get JASE and JASE wasnt created because of a power trip Aphex as stated b4 it was meant for students to help other students(now ur gonna say but we have that at the academy)yes we do but sadly sum students dont like helping or what ever but in JASE all memembers or potential members are VERY much willing to help when ever or how ever they can _______________ Sister to Smily,Axion,and CT Friend to ALL... There's nothing against the rules about starting your own clique outside of the academy. They are students(even though alot of them are JAK+) helping students. No big deal. They have leaders...who have power. FaDeD and whoever else started it have admin on the servers. They aren't just students anymore...on the JASE servers anyway. I'm not saying they started it for some power trip type deal....im not saying that. I'm just saying....thats what it might look like....especially considering the JASE really has no use whatsoever. I just consider them an entity totally separate from the JA. The only connections are the name "Jedi Academy Society of Excellence", and the crazy tags they wear...like JAP-SE(special edition?). But despite all that....most of the people I know in JASE are pretty cool dudes. and thats all i gotta say about that edit-- palpatine? lolol that's totally possible...i guess. especially as more and more of them get up into the ranks of the JA. but ahh...time will tell. I think you make a good point Odan. It does seem like it's a group of friends that made it an official group of sorts. It almost seems the equivalent of...well just for example sake. It's like all of DB's Padawans getting together and practicing without DB. Which is just fine if they did that and there's nothing wrong with that at all. I'm just pointing out what it looks like from an outsiders pov. Maybe there's a Palpatine behind all of this or maybe it's just a group of good natured friends. Wasn't this yesterdays news? Maybe it's just me but the whole JASE description is a bit nebulous to me. It sounds like the students that are popular, skilled, well known and that show in fact the basic requirements for knighthood will be nominated... I must be missing something but the whole thing looks like an elite recruitment inside the JA structure, but outside the JA authority. So basically, my question is: what does it bring to one being nominated and accepted as a JASE? Because IMO, if you look at the JA servers and the ppl who play there, most are willing to help each other to progress. Hmm...those last comments ruined it LOL Anyway, The pure and simple thing about the JASE, in my opinion is: 1)It is completely voluntary 2)If you don't like it, don't bother complaining, the JA has more important matters that they need your help with 3)We are not "better" than every other student. We just like to be recognized as students willing to help other students. Not because we are better, but because we want EVERYONE to enjoy the JA. 4)We don't try to be recognized more than JAK's and higher. We are still just students. No better, no worse. Just because we hold classes, remember you will never see a JASE class on a JA server. We have our own server, and we encourage you to use it! Er, I'm trying to find a nice way to say this, but I can't so I won't. Uhm... Okay, the way I see it (which is probably the wrong way ) is that the Jedi Academy Society of Excellence, is an Society for the Excellent, so if your not Excellent your not getting into the Society. And as it is a group much like the Student Council in various schools, one would want Excellent people in the Society, because this Society is for the Excellent. Atleast thats how I understand the JASE, so don't feel left out, the Society is for the Excellent, so until you and I and the others are Excellent theres little hope of joining the Society. So as your closing argument Jedi Prodigy you're saying that my opinion is irrelevant and I'm just a lowly student who wouldn't deserve the JASE recognition? Is that because I ask allot of questions about JASE or because I don't try to kiss the right asses? I'll say this. I am grateful that you (Jedi Prodigy) attempted to answer some of my questions regarding JASE so, Thank you. I'm puzzled though. Perhaps JASE isn't what I thought it was. I like Faded allot and I think he's a great guy. That doesn't mean that Faded would be a bad guy for being apart of a group that might have their noses stuck up like pigs. I doubt Faded even knows that some of you think you're better but I do. That's why I brought this up in the first place. I've seen the way some of you JASE act. I know this Nazi, oh silly me I mean Society of excellence is nothing more than the "I'm too good to duel you cause I'm a JourneyMan" crap. ok Ill answer some of your questions, Who started it? Faded, Darth Mobility, and myself Why did they start JASE? we start it as a student support group, almost like the student government of schools, we're all vetern players who have been around the JA for a while and who want to help people. Why isn't JASE a clan? we dont do clan matches, we dont have ranks really, so it doesnt have any resemblance to a clan. If it's not such a bad thing than I would support it? depending on how you see us, useful or not, were still gonna be here, people didnt think we were useful before, did it stop us? as u see we're still alive and kicking, so either you can give us credit, and buy into our helping ways and maybe even join us, or ignore us. I've looked through every post on that thread. I found allot of congratulations and info about what would be up and coming. What I did notice is that some people asked questions about JASE and they were ignored. Why? Second thing I noticed is that Master Lew and Chicka made some very valid points about JASE and you so politically answered their comments and concerns Darth Mobility but you fail to empress me with the simplicity of your answers. I asked a simple and non offensive question to better understand JASE and I'm met with sarcasm. Sarcasm doesn't sound like the qualities of a good person does it? Perhaps you wouldn't mind telling me why JASE is a relevant thing Darth Mobility? Who started JASE? Why did they start JASE? Why isn't JASE a clan? If it's not such a bad thing than I would support it. Unless you think my opinion as a lowly student at the JA is irrelevant. Is it? Well I guess my whole point is: Why is JASE relevant? Seriously! It has yet to serve a purpose. It's like having an outside academy discussion forum. Why would the JA need that? It seems completely superfluous/redundant. Can anyone explain this JASE thing to be anything more than what we already have here? The reason why I ask is because I've seen things like this before. They usually lead to splits in groups. Is it too much to ask that people just be truthful about their agendas? Forgive me for being blunt but it seems pretty silly to have this JASE thing in the first place. And as far as who killed JFK…I think Jacky did! Think about it. She's setting right next to him. He's cheating on her. She could have blown his brains out and no one would have guessed it. After shooting him she realized what she did and tried to gather up his brains and put them back in, but it was too late.
