Not to be a grump, but this has been gnawing at me of late... If you have the flu, stay home. In recent decades we all seem to have gotten the idea that it's somehow heroic to go to work or school with the flu. Here's a newsflash: People are dying. You may be able to work/study with it, but to the very young and very old it is life-threatening. If you go out with it, you expose other people, and they expose other people, and so on. Here in the U.S. an average of 92 people die in a typical flu season. This year's total will likely be a lot higher. You're not a hero if you tough it out and go to work with the flu. i dont have the flu (yet), but i am starting to get a runny nose and sneezing a lot.... probably nothing tho Last year my dad had the flu for christmas.... i really hope i dont get it, since we only have 2 more school days before Christmas vacation starts _______________ if at first you dont succeed, try and try again. if you still dont succeed, youve just wasted a whole lot of time trying something you just cant do

Do you guys find it odd that they seem to run out of the flu vacine EVERY STINKING YEAR here in the US? As a precaution here in Chicago they are shutting down schools if more than 10% of the student body has it. |
