Sup, SP - JK2 like 90% of the way. The story was better, imho JK3 had little story, its like um ok im this dude and I shouldnt even be hear cause im way to old to train, well ill go with it. Um I never learn anything about myself, nor any of the other characters, I really dont grow I just tag along with my master, we split up and I happen to always go the more exciting way. There were only 2 parts of JK3 SP, that I thought were improved upon. One core force powers, this is almost neccasary for the developers, otherwise every level would have to have like 12 possible paths based on the force powers you could have given yourslef. Two upgradingthe force powers YOU want after each mission. What I really didnt care for was how they totally ripped you off, on the whole light side / dark side path. No no no no no! Your choice should have effected the game like 1/3 of the way into it not 9/10. I would have been more than happy to pay more money fr the game if the story branched earlier. Oh before I forget yes siege does rock, hardcore! The two new sabers, ugh I would never wield them that way, the moves are so absurd. With two sabers I would be attacking high/low at the same time, from the left and right at the same time. With a staff I would be blocking attacks with one side and leading my counter attacks with other blade. If they didnt have the ability to make these sabers right, then tough just make us wait. Oh yeah one other thing I liked starting in JK3 with a saber that was a better idea. As for MP I guess its personal preference if the dueling got better. I dont think so, maybe JK2 will just always own this part of the JK: series imho. Well, I think that generally they're both really good: JK2: really cool MP and much more stable and stuff so I think JK2 MP generally rocks. However, for me, the SP doesn't cuz main character is Kyle who I really detest  However the main storyline for the SP is quite good I dare sayJK:JA: really really cool MP but still unstable yet (the damage and things), and as soon as a good patch comes out (and a nice mod, I don't got our mod yet, feh @ me) I think JK:JA will be the best MP game SW ever had. As for SP, it roxors cuz see you choose you saber, you choose your path etc. etc. Though there isn't a constant story-line with a good flow like JK2. So... what should I vote for now...  JK2 MP ~ JKA MP but I think JK2 MP is quite < JKA MP (if a good patch comes out for it) JK2 SP ~ JKA SP... so... I'll just vote JKA even though I think that generally both are equally roxoring _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

JK2 is much more balanced, as of now. The damage model in JK3 is WAY different, it can be turned to jk2 style, but who'd want this ? ja for the mp and jk2 for sp but the jk2 mp maps was better but u can download them to ja and mp is more fun when sp every jk and df game have some thin good but my vote goes to ja _______________ bye all i had a great time here i will never forget it i really gonna miss u all |

At the moment I still prefer JK2, basically beacuse the duels are more preditable. I.E I know if I hit with something it will score damage. I am still waiting on the next patch, to see if it changes JA in any great way, I hope so, I really do. BTW I am still on JK2 servers every night. As for the SP part, I definitely think JA is better. As for MP, I'm kinda up in the air. I really like all the additions made to JA(staff & dual sabres, etc.), but I think JK2's duelling overall is a little better. I love Siege! And I love scripts in MP maps and vehicles in MP maps and how there are shaders visible only when using Force Sense, and...well a lot of the technical enhancements in JK3. But for just hanging out at the Academy socializing and dueling, I like JK2 much better. What's kind of sad to me--and this was inevitable--is that it kind of splits the Academy in two. This may sound wierd, but the Academy map was a very real place to me, a place to go hang out and socialize after hours exactly the same way that I used to hang out and socialize in bars. Now I go there and the place is deserted. Going back and forth between the JK2 server and the JK3 server is not like going back and forth between the spike room and the matrix room. They are in different universes, and when I'm in one, the people who chose the other aren't there.  _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |

Went to new JK3 home map yesterday it was great. Started playing JK3 SP but not finished it. MP JK2 is still a great game and the saber duelling seems more refined JK3 still seems quite Frantic loads of flashy moves. Horses for Courses I will play both. No, I did prefer Outcast's story to Jedi Academy. In Jedi Academy, they try to let you customise the main character, which is a good thing... but it doesn't give him ANY sort of personality in the single player. His only motivation for completing the game is saving the galaxy so he can advance in the Academy, basically. It's a weak plot, the voice acting is sufficient but not excellent. Outcast had better moments, with Kyle's defeat when trying to save Jan (Desann rules!) and his revenge at whats-her-name when choke-holding her above a cliff. Wickedness. Of course, nothing can compete with Jedi Knight. Full motion videos, great special effects but above all: an epic storyline and characters we cared about. |

THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS SPOILERS REGARDING JEDI ACADEMY I voted Jedi Academy for some reasons here first of all, of course, the graphics. They have improved but at some cases they have gotten worse... I mean like the ydfa... It disorientates you completely by turning your back to possible oponents... So it's not ALL good, believe me.... Second of all, I like it more for the choices they give you... Light or Dark. And the cutscenes are better put together, and better voice-acted. I mean like, come on, when Jaden turns evil and just arrives at Korriban.... Listen to his voice that's a real Sith Voice man So that's a plus point The story ain't bad, but could use some improvement Third of all, Jedi Academy has better maps They are huge and better detailed... which is cool Fourth: I like the swoop bikes They're coolFifth: It's less hard than Jedi Outcast, which made me finish the game (on highest difficulty setting) in two days, so that's a minus point... Anyway, there are lots of differences and I could spend all day writing them down here but I think that if you add everything up, they would both be alike So I can't really choose And oh yeah, to answer the question 'if you like JK2, then why don't you play at the JK2 servers' Well, Lianotte, I do play on those servers, you'll find me more on the JK2 servers than on the JK3 servers... _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website!
