Anakin was grating and obnoxious in Ep II. My favorite commentary on him was on a site that sold videos and had customer commentary, kind of like Amazon. Personally I don't think Anakin is all that bad. He gets hurt and loses limbs. Gets help defeating Mace(if he really fights him). And gets beat by Luke. Luke won't be the new Vader He only saw what would happen if he confronted Vader right then. he wasn't ready yet. The future knew that, if he confronted Darth Vader, with all the hate that is in his body, he would become a new Vader.
