Well...not really. That is because there are not an even amount days in a year divisible by seven (the amount of days in a week). There are 52 weeks in a year, which would equate to 364 days, but the solar year is actually just over 365 days so our Gregorian calendar rounds off to 365 days. That means there is one too many days to make the days of the week perfectly match and so the days change by one eacy year. Ergo, the day of the week changes by a day, but the length of time between your birthdays is essentially the same (without being too pedantic and mentioning the minor variaions inherent in the Gregorian calendar). The difference between the Lunar calendar and the Gregorian Calendar is actually 11 days (i think it is eleven days..might be 12). So there are 365 days in a Gregorian year (based on the solar year) and only 354 days in the lunar year (based on the moon cycle). _______________ Part-Time Player (Weekend Warrior). kindof like how our birthdays are moved by 1 day each year? |

Ramadan is based on a lunar year which is shorter than the Gregorian calendar by about 11 days. So, despite the fact it is the same month every year on the Islamic calendar, it changes based on our calendar system. Basically every three years it will have moved up a little over a month according to our calendar. I believe the Ramadan was somewhere in October this year, which means next year it will be at the beginning of October and the year after that it will be starting about the third week of September. _______________ Part-Time Player (Weekend Warrior).
