As some of you may know, I've had the pleasure ( ) of being drafted into the norwegian navy. I'm leaving this wednesday and I have to stay there until around the 19th of december, which sucks. So I just thought I'd drop a line saying how much this place pwns, and how much you all rule! (except for aratan, of course )Now, I won't be completely isolated (I hope), so in a worst-case scenario, I'll be around every couple of weeks or so. Ah the sea. That fresh salt spray over the bow, that stings right after you shave. The long hours when you think to yourself WTF can I do now to avoid work, since I've already done what I have to. The sun rising over the water, and setting for that matter, informing you how small you really are and of the fact that you're not going anywhere for a while. Those strange fish that appear to fly and the eggs the Japanese use from them in certain types of sushi. Good luck fellow man of the sea. It sucks that you were drafted. I went willingly, so much for me being smart. Try to enjoy yourself, bring a lot of books, try to learn something and even though you have never seen that color blue, and never will again unless a hundred miles from shore, no matter how amazingly blue and calm the water looks DO NOT JUMP IN.
