There was a lawsuit here on Long Island a few years ago. At my old Junior HS, the roof over the gym has a couple of skylights. Apparently, some kids were hanging out on the property at night (aka trespassing) and decided to try and climb onto the roof. Well, they got onto the roof and then onto the gym roof and one of them fell through a skylight. The kid's parents sued the school district AND WON!!! This kinda crap happens here in the US all the time. Min is an old story, commonly known, but remember that story of the woman who sued MacDonalds because she bought coffee from them and it scolded her? She said "she didn't know it was that hot"! Yeah, the cup is really really warm, almost hot, and I bet the contents are ice cold! Worst part? She won!  _______________ I must not fear . Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear . I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Ow well, people sue people for almost no reason these days, like a few years ago, a granny put's her cat in a microwave couse it was wet, well, to say it like this, the cat died(more like blew up I think) and she sues the makers of this microwave, couse it does not say in the manual that you cannot put an animal in the microwave........Old folks..... _______________ One night, I was lying in my bed, looking up at the stars and I said to myself: "Where the h*** is my ceiling?! |
