Okay at school I have to start an Anti-Smoking Campaign to (of course) discourage smoking with youngster I need at least five striking slogans And I can't think of anything good and since my grades of this semester depend for 30% at this project I could use all the help I can get so any good ideas for slogans? the government have an TV ad on anti-smoke some years ago which I thought is very effective and amusing... part of it goes like this: smoking makes you attractive (screen showing everyone staring at the the smoking guy in a restaurant) smoking makes you go ahead of others (guy being wheeled into emergency room) smoking makes other respect you (people are mourning and bowing in front of the tomb of the smoker) _______________ I'm leaving, on a jet plane~ |

Cigarette smoke contains 11 chemical compounds that are known to cause cancer. Over 50,000 people a year die from secondhand smoke in the US alone in 1989,millions of imported fruit were banned after a small ammount of cyanide was found in just two grapes.theres thirty three times more cyanide in a single cigarette that was found in them. In the US, smoking causes about 445 new cases of lung cancer every day Tabbacco companies sell cigerettes that kill 1,200 people daily. Cigerette some contains the radioactice isotope polonium-210. cigarettes will eventually kill a third of the people who use them. 1984 one tobacco company referred to new costumers are replacement smokers-smoking is an awfull thing and i got all this information at www.thetruth.com In 1999, one year after agreeing to stop billboard advertising, tobacco companies increased advertising spending by 33% in magazines with "significant youth readership." Tobacco signage is often placed at a child's eye level In the 1970s, tobacco companies started making light cigarettes by putting tiny holes in the filters to let extra air mix with the smoke. They found they could get low readings of toxic agents from FTC-type cigarette testing machines.
