Let's put it this way compare Yoda's fighting skills & the fact he's been in the order for way over 800 years compared to palpatine's zip years & the fact he uses taunts & force lightning with out a lightsaber. Have you realised that Palpatine has failed ALL of his apprentices? Maybe he's not that good after all? I think Yoda could take him, but he shouldn't underestimate him.
