I'm leaving a comment for you all  I'm not leaving or demoting !!!! I like it to much here! I'll never leave MUAHAHAHAHASince this is my 2000th post I wanted to do something special with it. First of all a little bit of scaring (I hope ). Secondly a view on the Academy.The Academy has changed, a lot of new people have come, and some old people left. It's a constant process and I'm afraid it will continue. I know from the beginning days of JK:JA I hated the game and didn't want to play it anymore. BEsides, there where a lot of "not nice" people on the servers, kinda like when JK2 started here. Well, as I have seen the JA do a lot of times, it adapted, with the trust, hard work and the dedication that it's staff and students. I wanted to say something to a few of the new ppl too. I know from this place that students can do a lot of cool things, from tournaments to keeping the servers cool. I have seen a lot of new promising students and it makes me happy. Call me an old granny, but I had the feeling: "All the old guys are leaving, how must this place continue, the new ones are nothing like the old one." After a few days I said to myself: "DUH, everyone is different, and these students are in another situation than the old students, so they ARE different". Okay, point I wanted to make to the new students: Most of you are very cool guys, don't mind the occasion Old Granny rant from the oldies saying "These new ones always cause trouble" because the old ones can too *looks down a few posts *. And the most important point I wanted to make out of this rant is that I love this community, and the people in it, it has given me friendship, something to do and help when I needed it. That is what the JA is (plus a bit of teaching ), and if that spirit continues (as I'm sure it will), we'll "0wn" every internet community.Kueller out *runs away, arms flailing, screaming, from the angry mob* _______________ Personal sleepness-nights-supporter of Virtue. lol, you cant scare everybody The new ppl cant know who is here since 2 years and what it meen to build up this comunity. Some ppl will everytime be like a mythos to us. Who can know everyone and how can the old ones remember all the jung ppl? im here since 9 month now, and its a realy long time. but ive never met C1, Doobie, DJ and many others left before i came here. So, how can you think it would be like the old days? How could the new ppl become that nice group of ppl like the old? The academy is like a small vilage that grows up, it will everytime change but it will never return to the place it was some day. Kill Kueller! Kill him, dammit. Place him in the Hall of Fame! But seriously, I totally agree. Let's not forget who truly make up the body of the Academy. And yes, I too am very happy with the way it turned out... I'm not an oldbie in any sense but I was here when the Jedi Academy (game) servers just started up, back when we were still on public maps... the population has definitely changed for the better. ~Ken |
