as all of you who play me know i have a very 1337 connection called a 56k its probably the best connection out there.....yea right....well because of my connection problems i somtimes have trouble playing with all of the other wee little children so i have been thinking of wether i should just stop playing ja or to keep playing its not always bad when i play but i usually get lag a lot worse. some of you i can play without trouble most of the time but still this is a serious problem and seems how i live in montana i cant get cable or dsl where i live. so please post a comment what do you think i should do? p.s i also need to try and somehow get that nice skin pack i hear everyone talking about.  _______________ I am just a worthless liar. /me hugs his cable modem Hehe, government-sponsored cable internet program, runs through my power company. Best in the country. Gets a ping in the mid to low 30's on the JK3 Home server.  Its all good, my last connection was a 200P321337 56K, great stuff, was MSN, paid WAAAY too much for it per month.  _______________ I'm crazy, not stupid. |

i got broadband 29th of december, 2003, and i love, it so i had been playing on 56k for more than a year and got so annoyed so i pestered my dad for it, and after months of verbal fights  he gave in woo, my soution is move to some where that has dsl unlucky _______________ Moo |

I do ok-ish on my 56k. Ping with a full server is usually around 600. With under about 8 people, it drops below 400, sometimes even below 300. Its playable, but not easy to win anything _______________ Website |

Yea i have funky lag like that alot. I hate hitting some dude like 8 times in a row then hes behind you and your dead before you even know he moved. The only thing i like about it is we live in a small town and we have a freind that works in that office the compuplus one where we get our 56k and she took us off the list because compuplus got new owners and raised the prices so the price is no problem lol its free. But then i guess it is a prob my mom likes having it free so we cant get dsl until she sees how much better it is and then still i dont know if it will be out this far its expanding fairly quickly out here...luckely anyway thanks for the comments peace. _______________ I am just a worthless liar. I've had 56k for a looooong time and i still manage. Costs arent bad, but VERY slow, Good news is ADSL in about 2 weeks for me. Sw33t. _______________ You are not your f***ing system specs. I've been using 56k since January 2003 when I first joined.. you will get used to it and learn to use the lag.. and Darthy.. 56k costs isn't that bad.. Maul I think you forget that 56K = pay per hour So Aenima would pay his/her a fortune if he/she did what you said (d/l the skin pack at night). However the other suggestion (get SOME of the skins) is good As for your 56K, don't worry. I too had a 1337 56K but I never stopped playing, and I had a ~520-530 ping. Keep playing and you'll get better even with the ping. We also got a JAT (Xanatos) whose ping is SO SO SO bad (worse than my old one) Xan help this guy _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

Well....it's kinda up to you, I don't know how bad your lag is and how often you have it. But if I were you...i'd keep playing, because lag can't ruin all the fun here And perhaps you could ask JJ or someone else they could send you like a few very cool skins, so you don't have to d/l it completely. Or you could d/l it during a night when you don't need the computer anyways |
