Let's say you put in something to the map and made it solid. It turns out you don't want it there anymore, but can't get rid of it.

Is there any way to get rid of something you've already made solid?

are you talking about models and putting a clip brush over them, so you can stand on them in-game?

in that case, select the Clip model using Shift+Click
and then press backspace

after that you can delete whatever is left;)

does 'making it solid' mean 'applying textures to it'? or is there any 'solid' property you can set on a brush? i'm afraid i don't really understand.

To delete a brush in gtk,
select the brush and press {backspace}, or
select and got to the edit menu->delete.
Simple, huh?
