I always wondered why some of the Star Wars characters had Brittish accents while others had American accents. How is that possible if Star Wars took place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?

LOL!!! True! I think the name of it was: Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. The thing was, for like the 1st 15-20 mins of the movie, Kevin Costner has a semi-Brittish accent, and the rest of the movie it's gone. Kevin was in that Robin Hood film, I forget the working title. Although not a cockney accent, the "men in tights" version does come out with the most accurate portrayal. Robin hood: "I am the best Robin Hood" King John: "and what makes you so great?" Robin hood: "Because I am the only one to speak with an English Accent" King John: "he is good.." |

When I was in the 1. grade at school, i could speak ok English... Then i thaught one of my friends (some dumb kid called Jeppe) that "asshole" ment "thanks a lot"... After about a month, ALL the teachers hated him, it was SO cool, LOL
The same goes the other way around, try sending someone to Nørrebro with the words "Jeg synes perkere lugter af pik" (hvilket jeg seriously IKKE mener) on his mind, as if it meant something nice

The best thing about languages others doesn't understand (not counting the ability to say bad things about the JAC's without they even know it) is when you learn them to say something. Fx, if you learn them to say "Jeg hader perkere" (it means "I hates [nigger just with arabians, what are they called?]", while they think it means "I am smart" and then lets them loose in Gellerup Parken you'll get a good laugh when they start to beat him up.
PS: I am not calling/learning anyone to say such things (?), it was just an example. |
