I always wondered why some of the Star Wars characters had Brittish accents while others had American accents. How is that possible if Star Wars took place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?

Nah, who wants Brittish or American accents, when you can get vestjysk (the danes know what I'm talking about). Just picture this: The vestjyde (called Han Erikkesåalene) walks in the hangar with a drawn barrelgun and his companion, a cow named Chewgrassa, and says: „Æw'n rør sa' eller a' pløwer jer ne' med mit gok'jern, forstå't?" None of the Imps move and Han and Chewgrassa jumps into their tractor and drives towards the sunset, wich later proved to be a rather bad idea considering that there is vacuum outside the hangar.
(But I feel sorry for the ppl responsible for translating to subtitles, not even many danes outside Vestjylland can understand their language...) |

That depends on what kind of British accent you are using Mohawk. I suggest you watch the movie "My Fair Lady" for more info on the subject.

I look at it this way, when I'm on "Lawn Giland" I don't have an accent. If I'm away from here, then I have an accent.
