I know it hasn't quite been a year since the last time I did this, but it warrents doing again. Thank you all. Thank you for being there when I was bored, when I wanted someone to talk to, when I needed to relax. Thank you for being there even when I wasn't, for offering me a good time, for offering advice and even a little computer tech help. Thanks for being understanding, and being friendly. Thank you for keeping the servers orderly and polite. Thanks for being a community when I felt alone. Thanks for making me think. Thanks to the JACs, JATs, JAKs, and JASs who make this academy what it is and for all the hard work and time that everyone puts in to make this place keep working. Thanks again to the JACs who put so much time and money into this. Thanks to anyone else who needs thanks. I'm not leaving, don't get confused. But recent events help me to realise that while clans come and go, and so do friends, the Academy has been here and been a constant source of happiness, security and entertainment for the two (almost three) years I've been here. Also, I wanted to thank those of you who paid your respects to Vladarion. I didn't know him especially well myself, but it's encouraging to see the respect people who have never met (in RL) can have and show for eachother. It gives me a feeling of family for me, and I'm sure for others who lack such things in RL. Thank you all. _______________ I must not fear . Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear . I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. Gom gom gom gom gom! |
