Well, I completely agree that negative comments on what kind of saber you use are ridiculous... everyone is just out here to have fun, right? On the other hand, I think threads like this are pushing it too far. It's this kind of emphasis that provokes a lot of miscommunication between people. ~Ken |

I understand Ash, I just think we all need to tolerate a bit more that some people complain. AS you probably know people will always find something to complain about. IF it's annoying just ignore it  I just think we should try to have civilized discussions with a bit more respect. And yes I haven't read the thread before it was edited, but I read the ones about the hilts. I thought this one was quite heated too. Living in a community is like being with your friends, you will say some things and keep some others for yourself. Just in order to let things go smooth. And sometimes, when needed you'll put out some things that have to be said. I just got the impression Ancient Jedi got almost flamed because he gave his opinion about the hilts. And that this spread to another thread. I don't know the full story, I just know that I've been complaining about butterflies in the past, about katas too, and I quit complaining because it wasn't getting anywhere. And yeah, I was angry because I wasn't able to beat the butterfly-spammers Now is different, I understand people follow a pattern, from beginner to skilled player. When you don't know the game, you spam easy moves because it's somewhat efficient, then you learn new things and quit the spamming. So, my whole point is we should try to understand what's behind words or clumsy sentences and ask the person directly before judging. why complain, people only complain if they lose........ personally, train harder to beat it feels soooooooooo much better to be able to beat something above average ( not that it is too above ) i suggest u question your own skill before u blame the other person. I play with staff, I use the specials to my advantage. Heck, even some staff members call me spammer sometimes. It's just something that's part of the game. The new specials and kata's take time to get used to, as do the new styles. Ppl used to JK2 see these moves more quickly to be unfair or spamming. If the game is about a year old ppl will know a lot more about countering and will be able to deal with spamming. Until then, learn to do the right thing with these minor verbal assaults as you see them. Maybe you want to ignore it, maybe you want to say to the person in a cool non-aggressive way that he hurts your feelings by saying these sorts of things to you. Most ppl here at the Academy will stop calling you a cheap staff-man or a super-spammer then. And if someone only says to you, "you butterfly a lot", just say "Yes I do, it's part of the game system and I intend to use the staff to my full advantage". Hmmmm I think this thread is kinda taking a few comments about the staff to the extreme. I mean, yeah, I get allot of stupid comments about how the staff is cheap, but I don't worry about it. If it's better than the others, why doesn't everyone use it? I'm just saying, that all the sabers are the same, but you have to choose the one that best fits you, and master it. I just learn to ignore the comments and keep pwning them till they get frustrated and leave, or stop dueling me. I am glad you are calmed down, no one means any harm by pickin on ya ( I hope anyway) It is uncool, people are always pickin on K for his duals, and I used to get it for red and blue lunge, but its peoples opinions, so what can you do, I just ignore them. i think most people call staff and duals noob sticks, now I am not meanin to start a flame here, but if they are noobs, you should have no problem, right?
