Ok, boys and girls. These are the final results for the mapping competition, sorry ive taken so long judging these, ive had a hectic RL theses last few weeks, but with all that sorted.... Plz remember that these maps were created in a very limited amount of time, some are even beta versions of maps. Some people have put alot of effort into this and they deserve alot of praise weldone chaps lets Go ahead and announce in REVERSE order the TOP 3 maps! #3 - Urded: This is a beta version of a Siege map urded has been trying to create. Although lacking in some deatail and certain features not working, This maps shows great potential. Some of the ideas and concepts are both unique and exiting. Good job Urded, nice work #2 - EclipseD'Kana: Eclipse has sent me what appears to be the final version of his "D'Kana Shrine" map. The map has a very styised and atmospheric feel to it including many hidden areas and fun places to go, making it very fun map to play. However this map does have alot of "wasted space" it would be nice to see some more practical uses for these areas. Awsome work eclipse (i didnt even know he could map :p lol) #1 - Kai: Ive had to judge this map 3 times already, Why? because Kai just keep on updating it I saw this in the first stages when it was sent the 2nd day of the competition and i received a new copy almost every week. The Amount of detail is commendable, there is a common running theme, relativly high fps and just the amount of effort and enthusiasm put into this map has given me no doubts that Kai deserves the title of Best Student Mapper of the year 2004, welldone Kai - I will be uploading the maps within the next few days for dowload, And i will inform acey to update the JA book of Records asap . Sadly enought my map is so large that my computer will freeze while trying to make the light compile. If its okey with you jaiko should i simply make it smaller because atm there is plenty of open area which i was using to put stuff in later. If you want the map with out the light compile i can give you that but then youll have to judge my map without light. If your okey with this then put a post on my account. Ok, I made these two for JK2 quite a while ago. Please don't be too harsh - I only really have the time to map if I pull a sicky from work so these have both been done in a day each.
