i saw this by pressing back about a million times
Jedi Academy Official Newsletter -Silent Whisper- Jul 24 09:44pm -0 comments- That's right kids I'm putting together a newsletter for the whole academy. It will be released(hopefully) every two weeks. It will contain news on tournaments, mods, maps, models, etc. Basically anything to do with Jedi Knight 2. But to collect all this info I need to hire some "news reporters." Bascially the task will be to collect news from various sites, clans, zone, etc. Bascially anything goes, just don't be a pest  If you're interested please Email me with your name, why you would make a good reporter, and any good links or sources you know. I hope to release the first NL by August 1 so send those apps quickly!!!
What happend to it if its gone we should start it again but this time widen it to a lot more we coud do it by simple system Have a sub-editor for each subject the jedi academy,sports etc then they decide wot goes in or stays out and then it all goes to the head honcho the Editor who decides if he has any disagreements bout wot goes in All the editors would of course have the power to shorten the articles by taking out irrelevant stuff(ie thats cus thier editors) I would hope to see regulars of course(some ideas Quote of the month) and this is summit i was thinking by adding ads to the newsletters we could get some money for the JA. Ok scince ive got no more intrestin joining it we should start working on it

imback and my trip to dublin gave me an idea how about the mail thingie
scince we all live in different countries we could do a guide on our country you know for if people wanted to travell there they would get advice from people who live there. Oh and if you have no ideas you can be a reporter ie we decide for a story for you to cover or one from the news to go into more detail about. I'M THE ONE w00000t, I'm going to write the knight section of the newsletter. However this isn't going to fill the newsletter. WE NEED WRITERS. if you have an interest, please contact him. My suggestion is either stay on as a permentn writer, come up with a topic idea, or do a guest writing. I say that the newsletter be divided into the normal ppl that will write for every edtion, and the guest writers. If we get some serious writers i suggest doing what my school newspaper does, and that is have kind of a topic, such as *skinname* skin...Good or bad? then find someone that dislikes the skin and someone that likes it, and they write there side, and gets posted. I also suggest simply asking people to guest write on whatever they want.
just some ideas P.S. if you want to be a permant writer heres some ideas 1)we need a trainer section, with whats going on in the trainer world this week/month. and what they suggest to pick up 2) a comedy section, nothings complete with out some funny stories 3) a student section. This could be 1 permant writer, or various students that write on student related material each month. 4)a JAC section. ok i made an email address( jediacademynewsletter@yahoo.co.uk ) im probably gonna work by the system above ill be the editor but basically that means i paste the stories together not much editting,for the mean time just untill we see how many people are intrested then if thier enough well split it up into sub editors(no point in having sub editors for a tiny amount of stories)
email at that address or drop by with a comment in my profile,If your intrested in becoming a regular or want to add a once off sorie. Remember i want this not to be just about the academy but everything that intrests people in the academy from combos to who won in a hockey match. mabey i could set up an email adress eg janewsletter@yahoo.co.uk an people who want to get the newsletter and who want to contribute summit could email it to that address,i got trillian so i can log into that aswell as my normal yahoo one.The only prob is how to create HTML emails.Oh mabey we could do it by text with hyperlinks to the neccessery pics.

I think instead of making the knights in charge of it, cuz i would bet not all of them would want to, you do it like a newspaper. Pick one main editor, and then a whole bunch of writers that write something once a week/2weeks/month, and send it into the main editor who then proofreads it and sends it my 2 pieces -Dice _______________ Dicemaster |

well first off for this you need someone to actually take charge of it, and i'm guessing the Knights should look after it as a group. to keep the council and intructors hands free to continue on with taking care of this wonderful site. it can then be used by knights to have their padawans keep in touch with various news stories concerning the JK and SW universes. they report back to each knight, and the knight edits what he thinks is best then i suppose a monthly meeting is held to collaborate all their efforts into a single news letter. say per monthly that will give them time to research topics thoroughly and have plenty of time to bring it together... that's where i guess one person takes charge and becomes the head editor. organising the material he/she recieves and posts it up on the sight...just a few ideas for ya
