When I'm connecting to servers, when everything is lodaed, the text "Awaiting Snapshot" appears. And stays. Sometimes I never get in and have to cancel. What does the game do when this text shows? It obvoiusly takes the longest time of all processes when connecting to a server.

Why use only one saber, when you can use two, and double the mayhem?

That message is displayed because it has to figure out where everyone else is located on the map. Not only does it figure that out but it also picks the spawn point farthest from the most people (in order to give you the greatest amount of time to get weapons before you get attacked.)

Ok, but why does it take so long sometimes, and fast sometimes?

I must not fear . Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear . I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

My other computer on my network used to do that. Do you have less than 512 DDR RAM? That might be the problem because as soon as I bought more RAM for that other computer, it loads as fast as my main one.

"Before reaching Knighthood, all Jedi make a sacrifice. It is not required by the Master, nor is it a part of the Jedi Code to do so. It happens naturally. A sacrifice which shows your dedication to the Force, and to a new life, based on selflessness. This may be someone close to you, that you come to realize you must let go of in order to follow your path. It may be a certain addiction, or passion for something that would inhibit your abilities. It is not necesarilly your choice as to what you give up, and it is also a mile stone at which will decide your destiny. Choose wisely, and may the Force be with you."

But mostly it works, it's just sometimes it takes forever. And my real question is what does it do when the text shows?

You have a corrupt pk3. Remove any custom downloads not needed for the JA servers, and try again. If that doesn't work, redownload the JA stuff.
