Hi all, I've been out for awhile because my JA won't work. I've decided to try to fix it so I can praticipate in the tourney.

The problem is that when I load it, it gets to the opening screen and then freezes up my whole puter. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas on fixing it ??

Any help appreciated,
Mitch

Could be a few things.

1: Do you run any firewall or internet management programs like Zone Alarm?
I play SWG and I have to shut Zone Alarm down before I load it up because it does exactly what you described to my computer. However, you can configure Zone Alarm to let JK3 run alright.

2: Could be a Vid Card issue, can you play other games or is it just JK3 that freezes your comp?

3: It is possible that one, or a few of your JK3 files have been corrupted, do a clean install as a last resort, this means deleting EVERYTHING. Uninstall JK3, then go to your Lucasarts folder and Delete the Jedi Academy folder (When you uninstall JK games, traces of them are still kept in the Lucasarts folder in case you install them again - Eg Savegames, Server Settings etc.).

Hope this helps some. :)

aye, I agree with MonkaiMan *points down*

try reinstalling
and check if there are other programs running in the background like Kazaa, or a download or whatever

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to check what programs are running:)

I hope you can figure it out
if not, try posting on fizz's profile, or Orion's profile
they both gee-wizzes on these kind of problems...:)

sry haven't got a clue :( Try this as a last resort and reinstall JK3. Either that or your computer might be screwed up
