1st..If this is in the wrong forum,Please Move it Ok..I've always wondered where the idea for Darth Vader's Armour came from..Did it just pop up into the mind of the creator or *Maybe* It was based on something else. Being an OLD comic fiend(Marvel) I kept comming back to one character(No..Heh..Not Spiderman) This person Though warped,IS a Genius in Science and the Mystic Arts (Hmmm Sounds Like Vader) I Give you,One Of the Marvel Universe's Most EVIL,MAD Genius's, Dr Victor Von Doom! I know a very good skinning tutorial.. i have forgotten the adress however i remember where i got it from go to google.com search for "Jedi Outcast skinning tutorials" and click the tutorial at.. theforce.net or summat (yes it is for jk2 but it works very similarly and doesnt take a genious to figure out) i would do this myself and post the link but my internet is screwed atm hope this helps -Aiden |

The reason Dr. Doom wears his armour is that he has some kind of mental issue where he THINKS he is horribly scarred and disfigured, but isn't. So, he hides his face and body with the armour. |

hmmm... Stan Lee talks about Dr Doom in the AWESOME Jay and Silent Bob movie 'MallRats' Man I love that movie, but this Doom guy, I don't think Vader would be based on him. Lots of people have black capes. and some armor. ...DOOM DOOM DOOM!!! |

It sounds interesting, seeing as they are both clouded in mystery and wear rare body armor. But I don't have a clue on wether Lucas really took Dr. Doom as an example or not |

first of all --> StarWars Discussion second of all: I don't really thinks so, since Victor seems to be wearing somekind of armour, instead of a live-keeping-suit... because that's what Darth Vader's suit was... it kept him alive, it kept his organs (if he had any) working... Victor Von Doom (or whatever his name was) seems to be wearing just some nice armour to protect him... Personally, I don't think so, but then I could be wrong. Any other thoughts on this?
