I'm fairly new here. Every time I log in to the servers, I get this error message:

"Unpure client detected
Invalid .PK3 files referenced!"

and when I dont get that error, I get this one:

"CL_ParsePacket Entities: end of message"

Does anyone know what either of these mean?

Also, when you uninstall the game make sure you delete everything in the “LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base” otherwise you could get the error message again. I’ll also note that you haven’t answered whether this was a legit copy or not. If it’s not then please buy the game. Otherwise… carry on!;)

uninstall the game properly "add remove programs" through: settings > control panel. (they DO still have that in XP don't they?) anyway, remove it, reinstall. open the game, THEN close it, THEN install the patch (1.01). then fire it up again. as long as you don't more than one person trying to use the copy of the game at the same time you should be fine.

I got the second error fixed: Just re-installed the game.

As for the first (Invalid .PK3), no luck. I'll keep on trying.

I don't like to say it, but that error can also mean that it is an illegal copy.

I put it into my brothers PC and installed it there after I installed it on mine and the only difference was that it worked on mine and not his. Maybe if you have installed it elsewhere before hand, this error can come up.

As for the files, make sure you have all of them that are listed on the servers page on the server you wish to join just to make sure. Also use jacen's suggestion. Turn Auto_download off.

That's odd Jacen, I use the CD.

I tried to uninstall, but all it did was say it maintenenced the game. Then it closed. Weird...

CL_ParsePacketEntities is mostly related to a downloaded version of the game.

As for invalid PK3 files, try to connect to another server first, then connect to the other one. And make sure auto download is off.

first error:

try restarting the game

try reinstalling the game

that usually solves that, right?
