Well, since I met this fellow SilkMonkey on the jk3home server, I was very excited. He was extremely fun and easy to talk to. Whenever Silk was around, everything was just...cooler and he made everything, I mean everything, much more fun. He told great jokes, spawned great things, and was an amazing staffist (You aren't bad at all Silk). Then when it came the point whenever I needed help, he'd be there offering to help, or if I was down, he could cheer me up I would like to thank you SilkMonkey, for everything you have ever done to make this place, this eutopia away from RL, this home away from home, a much much better place. And for being a great friend As always, I love ya man.Now......you'd better come back! This better be just a vacation But until then, enjoy the vacation I'll miss ya until then, Mr. SilkMonkey(JAT) |

Since I'm not cool enough to get a newspost; I'll go ahead and post what I wrote in case I DID get a newspost. ------------------------------- Well, I never figured I’d be in these shoes but here I am. I joined the Academy back in January of last year when I first got my “new” computer. I’ve had some good times and had a lot of funs. I even suck less now than when I joined…in jk2. JK3 has proved to be a major dead end for me. I am terrible at it, and I don’t enjoy playing it very much. I would have liked to have continued teaching but JK3 Certification makes that impossible for me. This has all been brewing for a while…but I was thinking if I had stuck around that maybe I could be in a position to integrate new things; or change the policies. Things didn’t work out, but that’s okay. Someone will get in and shake things up. Best wishes to all the staff who work so hard to make this place what it is. So try not to remember the guy who sucked at fighting and spawned tauntauns to amuse people. Remember the guy who loved this place like a 2nd home and who brought you such cool things as The Jedi Academy Prom, and the SilkMonkey Invitational Tournament. Will I still be around? Maybe, my AIM name is still in my profile, and I plan on dropping by IRC on occasion. Thanks to everyone who has ever left a comment on my profile, let me win a duel, or in any way made my stay here enjoyable. A couple personal thank yous: Leif, for kicking @$$ and not minding when I “accidentally” shot you with rocket launchers or pushed you off ledges. Luke, for taking the time to teach me all your pwning ways even when you knew it was a hopeless effort. My padawans past and present: I’m sorry I never trained you up like I should have done. You all make me proud…Thomas; you’ll be a better JAK than I ever was. Onion, thanks for so much entertainment on IRC and tech help. Aratan, thanks for taking verbal abuse and being a good sport. Aphex, thanks for calling me randomly, that was great. I’m missing a lot of people, but this is already a doozie of a letter. Please don’t ask me about why I’m leaving, if you don’t know; you won’t by asking me. May the force be with everyone…now I’m off to get that sunset….
