Hello Everybody, I'm new at The Academy and I'm having some connection problems. When I join the jk3-home server, I have a ping of +-150, so thats not too bad, but like every 5 seconds the connection gets interrupted for a few seconds. I'm from Belgium, and I tried the Europe server, Wireplay, there I have a ping of 50, but I have the same problem there. With other non-Academy servers I don't have this problem. Might any1 know about this problem? (I've only installed the Academy Map) Btw is there a search in this forums? I tried to search for simular questions... Thx LegoLag, I've tried changing these variabels, and it helped for a while. I used the lagometer to see the effect of the changes. Pretty handy this. You set it with cg_lagometer "1" default "0". I also used cg_drawfps "1" default "0" to see my frames per second, and changed the var com_maxfps. This helped alot. The numbers of LegoLag are for LAN settings. /rate 25000 /snaps 40 /cl_maxpackets 100 Make sure to note what they are set for before you use them, though. |

Also, as soon as you connected, I went into 999 ping. As soon as you left, my ping was back at 200.  Dunno how that happened, but I was going and lagging everywhere. Hope something gets fixed. I have never ever lagged with DSL except today when you were on. But I do get connection interrupted sometimes. It's not just you who gets lag on these servers, so do other people. The servers aren't that perfect to be honest. Some people don't even hardly visit because of it. It just depends where you live.  |

There is no search option for the Forums. And about the problem, perhaps your just having a bad connection day, I dunno what else it could be seeing as you don't have it on other servers. |
