In the days of The Zone during the JKII era, I played with a little group of folks on a regular 6-man server hosted by a dude called Beefshank. A regular in the area named Shadow Warrior popped in the server one day and was like, "omfg u check this out now lol!" So here I am, YDFAing since 2002-ish. I read a review of the game "Gamer" magazine, and I think an interview from someone on the staff (in the same article). It prompted me to buy the game AND join this academy  _______________ Geriatric single User, with a touch of Staff now and again. Influenced by Dash Starlight, Jaina. Janus, and Gradius in staff. And in yellow stance. Jaina D'Kana, who really helped me when I first joined the Academy and Jaiko D'Kana, who's classes I took in the begining. Proud owner of _Muro_'s 400th ACK! comment. I had played the original Jedi Knight for a long time, fairly competitively. When I had heard rumors of a new game coming out, and later checked out the trailers, I was searching online for tips and techniques on how to be the best player I could pretty much as soon as it came out. I came across this site a couple of times but didn't join it until a few months after the game had come out and, obviously, I've been here ever since (with the occasional extended vacation). _______________ © |

Wow, I barely remember this. Before I first came here, I used to play JKII on the Jolt.co.uk public servers. Other regulars included Jello, Shadow Sith, and my brother. (I'm not sure how active those two are anymore, but they're here too.) I'm not sure exactly how it happened, but Shadow Sith found out about this place, he told my brother, my brother told me, and I told Jello. (I think that was the progression, anyway.) So I signed up, and here I am, four years later. It is very freaky to think that I joined in November of 2002 and am still here. Now, if only I still played... _______________ Well then. Just so you know, just because I don't post often doesn't mean I don't lurk this place multiple times every day... |

I found mention of it on the JediKnight.net site.... I played JK2 when it was "new" for Mac, then used to duel sometimes and get destroyed everytime. I gave up after a while, but love the game so much I played the SP storyline three times, and I used to spawn many NPC's for fun. I knew there was a steep learning curve but didn't know where I could learn, until I found The Academy. _______________ American dollars are worth less than Imperial credits. |

I wandered onto one of the servers via the public game servers, apparently the admins knew I wasn't a member so I kept getting booted. I guess the password wasn't enabled that day.
