Hello,
I'd really like to chat with you guys when I have to sit around the student office here, but, in all our cheap wisdom, we got a free Mac. 
So, anyone who might know how to do IRC on a Mac, let me know. I have a program that I put on it, but I cannot find irc.enterthegame.com If you have any help, let me know. Perhaps iof you knew the network that I am supposed to look for irc.enterthegame.com I know the best solution is to toss this Mac out the nearest window and bring in my spare PC (which can whoop this free thing anyday). But I've yet to go to EXTREME violence against Macs. (I have done SOME, minor violations). Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. The site DOES look nasty in that browser, mainly because the comp has crappy resolutions, colors, etc. Remember, this thing was free.
I'll check on the Internet Explorer thingie. I think I might have v4 or v5 on the cursed thing. Hmmm...maybe holy water will do the trick. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. the best thing to do is what you suggested earlier. 1.) pick it up in your arms 2.) move to the closest window 3.) stick arms out the window 4.) release hope this helps  _______________ make install -not war |

Everyone should have to learn how to use Mac's. If for any reason to just to know how the other half uses computers. 
Make sure you've got the lastest version of IE.. you might be using IE3 or something bad like that. Heh I'm sure the JA site looks like rump in that browser. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

This thing is chock full of problems, software and hardware. I'll see what I can muster up, I would hate to have to learn how to use/like Macs. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. My condolences on hearing it runs OS 8.1 :/
You may be able to connect with the command "/server irc.enterthegame.com" then "/join #ja". It's been some years since I've used ircle though. :/ What web broewser do you use on this Mac? Its most likely a weird browser that doesnt like the Java applet. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

I put Ircle on the computer, works, but can't find the irc.enterthegame.com or the #ja channel. It needs some other info. Two... It has OS 8.1 on it. And it does a poor job with it (could be hardware). Three... For some odd reason the provided site applet does not work. Hence why I go through all of this. If anyone knows HOW I should configure the Ircle to find you guys, let me know. Or any other simple ways, too. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. Rejoice Ulic, you've got a superior computer on your hands. There are qute a few IRC options for you.
If youre using OS 9 or below theres a program out there called IRCle In the OS X enviornment I *think* iChat does IRC chatting. You can always install BitchX for text based happiness. Push comes to shove you can always uswe the Java client on the site. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |
