May 19, 2003 I hope it pwns.  In regards to what other people said: Obi wan is kinda annoying. He keeps repeating the same things to Anakin over and over. Though, he has an important role in the story. As far as Mace, I think his Character has meaning. Quote: Of course he isn't the main character. It is his presence and status in the Jedi order. Also his reputation for being one of the few top duelist in the order. I think his character has a build up factor. Supposedly*spelling?* Anakin kills him in Ep.3 End result...His character being beaten by Anakin or who ever will add that "Bad A$$" title to who ever takes him out. I think its a very important role. I agree.And, I don't know what's up w/ GENERAL Grevious. Anyway, you can't have the Jedi being killed of an already seen character, or all getting the plague. It's called dramatic techniques, creating tension, making the film enjoyable to watch. Quote: This is right up there with creating a character like Mace Windu, sure Jackson is a great actor Well, while not being a neccessity to the story, he's just something to make the film more enjoyable. You could take out a crap load of characters from the films if you wanted, but then it would be empty and boring. And what does this have to do with Jackson? Lucas didn't make Windu so that he would have a part in the film you know. |

Even when he gets it, he doesn't appreciate it... And Obi Wan is not the kinda guy to get excited too often and give credit all the time. Obi Wan's great, i'm not a fan of Jedi, but I don't think he's a bad Jedi He has the heart of a Jedi and the mind of a Jedi Quote: ....that means a lot of ppl have to die, A LOT..... Im just confused about all this shit. There is plenty of movie to be made, why is General Grevious going to be in EP3 lets be honest at the end of EP 2 werent almost all the jedi there, at the end there were like 30 tops, do we really need a new character to take them out? This is right up there with creating a character like Mace Windu, sure Jackson is a great actor, but what has he added to this trilogy? Nothing, seriously if you think Mace Windu is an important character, watch the movies again, he has maybe 10 minutes of footage, any of which could have been replaced by a nameless Jedi. In Ep1 - He has what 3 lines, edit them out, in place of his character add a nice house plant. Yeah so maybe the house plant looks out of place at Qui-Gons funeral but other than that the movie does get worse. Ep2 - Big shit he killed Jango Fett, yeah that really makes it worth adding him to this trilogy. Ep3 - Ok obviously I haven't seen this, but what of importance can he do? Seriously why does Lucas create these stupid characters. I think Anakin will engage in a huge duel with Dooku. In the first films, the emperor saw more potential in Luke than Vader so there was always meant to be a confrontation between the two. When one is struck down the winner assumes the postions as the emperor's right hand man. In ROTJ luke was about to kill Vader and Palpatine was saying kill him and take his place by his side. I believe this will be the case in EP. 3 with Anakin and Dooku. It doesnt matter if you kill someone good or bad, its if your heart was full of hatred that turns you to the darkside. thats my spleel.  _______________ I live life by two sayings. Yeah, ppl will die... but the most important thing... - Skywalker... how will he turn to Darth?... will it be the main event in the film? or... will it be just like, he killed a jedi, then suddenly he'll become evil, and... donno... got the point? - cause that WILL suck. I know its VERY HARD 2 combine the 3rd episode to the 4th... that's what i'm scared of. _______________ And no grown-up will ever understand that this is a matter of so much importance!
