Thank you, FaDed

Upon reading the news earlier, my heart sank. I mean, I KNEW FaDed was going away on a mission for his Church, but it's still very sad. FaDed is without a doubt one of the finest JAT's, and finest people, who has ever came to the JA. He is without a doubt one of the most hard-working, honest, and intelligent people whom I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He has given the Academy alot of time, and we can only hope that the JA stands when he returns.

The purpose for this thread is what you make it. Post a thank you to FaDed, share a story about an experience you had with FaDed, etc etc.

All I can say is FaDed, Colin... Thank you for everything you've done for us all. :)

Colin,

You have been one of my closest friends here at that JA. You have made a difference here my friend. Your enthusiasm and passion that you have will be a valuable asset to you on the Mission Field. Your a fantastic person bro. I have always looked up to you. As much as I hate to see you go, I am glad your preaching the gospel abroad. Your truly an inspiration to us all.

I wish you good luck and we will be in touch. Get your VACINATIONS, lol.

(in addition......)

It was a year ago when FaDed started teaching unofficial classes as a student. There was always the same handful of us there. We were amazed at his teaching style. You could really tell he was TOTALLY into every word he said, and in turn gave us the best classes I have EVER been at here at the JA.

Of course we knew he would quickly gain JAK and eventually JAT.

As alot of you remember, FaDed came to me and Jedi Prodigy to start the JASE. The JASE was FaDed's brain child. We all helped put it in motion. We dedicated ourselves to the JASE for almost 6 months solid. We added Cloaked Thunder and Virtue to the admin panel and from there even had more fun.

When FaDed, achieved the JAT rank, he regretfully stepped down from his responsibilities at the JASE due to his overwelming responsibility being a JAT. We all respected his decision. Upon Vladarions death, we decided to shut the doors of the JASE and make it a memorial to Vlad. FaDed was a proud supporter of this decision.

FaDed has always followed through. He has always been a man of his word. I could always count on him to tell it to me straight. He also had alot more leadership qualities than I feel this JA has given him credit for...

His vision that he would discuss with me was that of an incredible feat. I would always tell him, "Man, you made the JASE work in the face of adversity, YOU can do ANYTHING".

And I still beleive that.

So Colin, as your over there in the Tonga, remember, you are TRULY GREAT and can do ALL THINGS through Jesus Christ whom strengthens you.

You are Not Alone
You are a Child of God
You are more than a Conqueror
You put you Trust in the Lord
You walk in the promises of his Holy Word
Because God has a miricle for YOU

Once again, I love you man. Spread the good news and walk upright.

bah... i had a huge thing typed up but i lost it...

basically I wanted to say that FaDed is the man. I caught a lot of heat for my part in his rise in the ranks, especially his goofy trial that DJ and I ran... but I don't regret it for a minute. Even though he drove the JACs bonkers sometimes, we always knew he was doing it to make the Academy better. FaDed is an example of what we look for in the Academy... skill, manners, dedication, passion, and drive. We'll miss you C... do us proud, especially us fellow Mormons. We expect Tonga to be 100% Mormon in 2 years, but even if you dont' baptize a single soul... you're doing the Lord's work, and for that I commend and admire you.

Faded, you've been a friend and a teacher to me. Thanks for showing me how much fun CTF can be, and how I can improve aspects about me besides how I duel. Thanks for the awesome classes, (Movement 505 rocked!) the awesome Academy map, and all the other work you've done for the Academy.

You're an example to all the students of how a true trainer should act. You're a great friend, and I'll be waiting to hear from you when you get back! :)

I don't really know what to write FaDed. I remember during the first day I joined the JA I met you. When I said something bad you asked me to check my language. I think with this simple remark you made me understand how great is the academy. And since that I even ask people to check there language too.

Thank you ! We didn't played together often, only 2 or 3 times I think, but it was like a real exchange between two people.

Good Luck in your mission and I wish you to always have the courage to follow God's will.

We had our differences, fallouts, arguments etc, but I'd like to think we had a mutual (if not extremly rivalrous) respect for one another, so I'm sorry to see you go.

For those of you who don't know, and those of you who won't say I'm gonna tell you a little story about faded. Back when I was a knight, there came to passing the question of a young man called FaDeD.

Many of the ranked people held him as a trouble maker, a glory seeker and basically didn't like him much (sorry if I've blown this out of proportion) He eventually got his JAK tag, through much controversy, when less sdeserving people got theres before him, me for example :D

He didn't dissapoint, he embodied pretty much everything I would've held a knight to be and I hated him for it. He became a trainer (I thought too quickly) and I hated him more, but then I realised he was actually pretty good at what he was doing.

In short I respect you man, I'm not a religious person and I don't begin to understand or critiscize what you're doing. But I can understand you feel passionate about it and its what you have to do.

I'm not the first poster in this thread, and I GUARANTEE I won't be the last.

I want to thank you for your honesty, FaDed. In the conversations we had together, I have really grown to appreciate your outlook on things. We've had our differences in the past, which is no shame at all: throughout the differences, I have definitely respected you in every way possible, because you radiate it. You're a good man, FaDed, and it is indeed a great loss to see you go.

Take care of yourself, and even though our Academy may be deserted ruins by the time you return, I for one will always leave a light on.

May the force be with you,

~Ken

Man I admire your Courage FaDed, Taking on a mission for your church and simply leaving for 2 years... Its really amazing and it takes lots of courage and willpower to do such a thing.

I remember the first time we met, I believe it was on Beta2. And you had the Marko Ramius name on. I wasnt a knight back then. We dueled about 5 times and you complimented me on my Red style which made me feel good :)

Anyway, like I said in the news post: Good luck with Everything and if you ever get the chance of dropping by, please do so :) Take Care my friend
