Recently, I've noticed a lack of respect for me. I'm not talking about joking around with noob noob, or 'Aratan sucks', that stuff (though, I'll say, don't exaggerate it - please). What I'm talking about, is nearly noone taking me seriously when I am serious. And yes, I know that's not often, but when I tell you to stop doing something, without any smileys, I expect you to. This is all from bugging me on IRC, to fun laming each other on the servers. I see it as a severe lack of respect when people keep doing what I tell them not to. No matter how much you may just see me as a guy who's fun to poke, I will snap at one point. And it won't be fun for whoever makes me, I promise as much. I don't want to be too serious, nor too harsh, and I don't want people to stop making fun of me, but some people need to know where the border goes..... If you really need a punchbag you can insult all you want... talk to Flash Seriously though, when I first arrived, the three people I made first contact with where: Katan, Fizz and Jacen! And even now I consider Jacen to be a role-model... I've never seen anyone answer so fast, and still be so darn funny I can think for hours on what to reply... and still have regrets later ("Oh darn, I should have said that!" Aratan rocks. Everyone likes to consider themselves a friend of Jacen, because he is always fun, witty and gregarious. However, Jacen is also a JAT (as everyone knows) and it is his duty to monitor the servers. Sometimes communication online can be tricky because you can't see the facial expressions, voice intonations, and other subtle communication signals that we rely on to interpret messages from others. IMO, people should error on the side of caution when reading a message from another (especially a JAC/JAT/JAK)and if people are unclear of the intent of the message, ask for clarification.
