Oh, don't even give me that look, you ALL knew this was going to show up eventually  . For those that are of the legal age to drink, please state your preferred Beer. If you don't drink Beer, but hard liquor, you may list your favorite drink instead, but I prefer if we keep on the Beer. For myself,Guinness on tap, the only way to go! ***Why post this now of all times? Because I was out with the co-workers yesterday and snagged a Guinness on tap and made me think of favorite drinks, today at work, thought, "Man, that was damn good! Time to share...."*** _______________ Be honorable, be friendly, be trustworthy. Show respect to all whom you meet. Don't forget you learn when you win AND when you lose. Be the first to admit mistake AND the first to correct it. Be the shoulder for someone to lean on. Always remember those that sacrificed time to help you. Um, ok maybe I should put out my philosphy when it comes to beer. 1.) I am always right, end of story. --- 1.a) This includes statements that contadict themselves, I am still right you just don't understand how a statement can be right AND contradict itself. 2.) OMG!!! I think we gotta cutoff Obi-JK!!! Dude! You gotta remember, everyone has different tastes! Personally, and I know I'm not the only one, I don't really like Guiness or most other "heavy" beers. For me, I like the taste of Bud, regardless of what they make it from. Although, you'll never, I repeat, NEVER see me drinking a Rolling Rock and almost never touch a Coors Light. That and they think its cool to be able to drink like 20 beers a night! ( URGE TO RANT SUBSIDING ) I prefer to skip the "bars" there are to many morons and I hate the fact that if I go to a "bar" I can't even wear a baseball cap backwards. ( Not that I ever do that, but some of my friends do, and it just pisses me off on principal ) I try to stick to the "pubs" or "breweries" Pubs rules cause they always have the standard Guiness, Bass (pronounced like in the bass your speakers put out for the 733+ ) Brewiers are my 1st choice, Stouts, Porters, Ales, Lagers, Seasonals, all made just a little bit different at each place. I was forced to go to this "bar" the other night where 90% of it was non-smoking! This is another reason bars piss me off. No matter where it is, if its falls under the "bar" or coffee-house type of establishment it should be 90% smoking. Im all for panseys who are afriad of cancer having paces to go where they can be in a smoke-free environment, but really keep it limited to sewing conventions and sporting events. If I have to choose something else (shouldn't have to tho), I'd say Kilkenny/Murphy's/Caffrey's/anything that comes from Ire-f*cking-land, they make the best stouts and draughts people! From Europe: Velkopopovicky, Staropramen&Slatopramen, Chimay (at least Chimay blue), Jever Pils, etc. Out of the "cheap" lager beers: Finnish Karjala/Karhu, Warsteiner, Tuborg, Carlsberg, Sandels, Saku Tume. Hmmm...For me, there's 2 different types of beer drinking; there's having a social beer like maybe with dinner or something like that, and then there's drinking beer to get completely BOMBED!!! For type one, I like a Becks or even a Bud. For type two, any beer that isn't too heavy (like Guinness or Becks) and CERTAINLY NOT Stroh's! Favorite well known beer: Guinness on tap Other favorites come from local micro breweries: The Sweetwater Brewing Company Terrapin Beer and last is the award winning Buckhead Brewery that has won awards including a Silver Medal at the 1996 World Beer Championship, a Bronze Medal at the 1996 World Beer Cup, a Silver Medal at the 1999 World Beer Championship, a Silver Medal at the 2000 World Beer Cup, a Gold and Bronze Medal at the 2000 Great American Beer Festival, and most recently, Gold and Silver Medals at the 2002 Best of Florida Awards, and a Silver Medal at the 2002 World Beer Cup. Unfortunately beer from the Buckhead Brewery is very exclusive to the Atlanta area, so you'll have to come visit to try it. But it is definately my favorite. |
