In my opinion the hall of fame is a place where the people who are famous in a good way should be. I think he should be in, why? because to me he always has been a good person and I think he has been to many. His end was bad, but that is something that happens more. In my opinion an incident like this shouldn't influence something like this that much. As I said, it's not a matter of what we think. Personally I don't see why the students shouldn't have a vote in this. If you say because they "don't know what's going on", then why not tell them? Same goes for other things in the JA that are solely decided by 'ranked' people, which brings me to what I think is a personallity that deserves to be in the HoF: Someone that worked himself up to higher ranks because of the good things he did and then doesn't, at any way, think he is any better or more than others. Problem is that it'd be hard to find someone for the HoF then, on the other hand: those that would be in then are very, very special  .For this case on it's own (Eclipse) I'd say it's the best way like it is now (don't put him in) for the reasons others, and especially Dante, mentioned. _______________ ~~ Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none! ~~ |

If eclipse needs to be on some list to be remembered as a great teacher and person, I am very disappointed in the academy... You have to know what eclipse was really about to understand him. First of all, I'm sure he wouldn't want to be in the HoF. Think about it, I'm sure you'll reach to the same conclusion. Now, don't start threads like that. You know nothing will come out of it. Some support the idea, some don't. The only thing that can come outta such threads is a flame; a flame about the character of a person; a person some people respect, and some hate... I have been talking to Eclipse bro. Ive cooled down now too. That was a good post Buzz. Anyway, if you dont want Eclipse back as a JAT, I dont think there are any good reasons if any reasons why, but it doesnt matter becasue I dont think he wants to come back. If you got issues about the academy itself..fine...adress them. I'm going to ask that you guys all cool off now and consider several things. The students here do not know the full situation about everything going on and everything that has happened. With this post Rogue and what you have been saying you are stirring up a lot of things, and if you would take the time to talk to eclipse like others have you'll realize he doesn't want to go about doing things this way. Now I'll tell you a little bit about the situation. Eclipse asked a while ago about being reinstated as a JAT as he said. The council discussed it and decided not to based on several things which I will not discuss here. Doobie sent him an e-mail explaining the councils reasons and also finishing with the following statement: Quote: You have served us greatly in the past as a wonderful JAT, and we'd love for you to continue to stick around. And hey, who knows what the future will bring. Everything else after this has been Eclipse's decision including having his account disabled, we didn't want him to leave but he decided to. If you believe you are someone to tell people their God given opinions are wrong I suggest you take a walk and look at some anture, become enlightened becasue nobodies opinions are just "1, 2, 3, wrong" And I believe, and I think other people believe, this is an important discussion which goes beyond Eclipse not being granted HoF status and should not be dropped. hey hey folks i'm acting as a messenger of eclipse here. he wanted to clear up a few things. 1) he did not curse out the council or lash out at them. 2) in the times is which he "abused" his admin powers, he was not doing so maliciously but rather out of humor. 3) the people that took offense to his humor probably took it the wrong way. it was never intended to hurt of make anyone uncomfortable. if the coucil feels strongly that eclipse should not be in the hall of fame, he(eclipse) would like ya folks to drop the issue and just agree with the coucil's decision. If it were simply a matter of bad words between Eclipse and the Council, perhaps. But that isn't the case. You're noticing the JAKs+ not being forthcoming because, perhaps, they want to Eclipse to stay in a good light? That's all I have to say on this. Now, I'm not disagreeing with the Council in any way, but one. He asked for account deactivation, so that's what he should get, no problem there He left on his own, so no problem there either. Now the only thing I'm disagreeing on is just the fact that he should be in HoF. Sure, I'm relatively new (especially compared to Bubu, or Hardwired, or Fizz) so I don't know everything he's done so far. But still, he was a Jedi Master, been with us (the Academy) for so long... gave litterly hours of his time, and now he decides it's time to leave... and we say: "meh..." and continue with our business? This is similar to the discussion I recently had with my girlfriend. We had a charity drive, and I volunteered to help out, and she was asked to help, since we didn't have enough people. She wasn't prepared to give up one evening of her time, not even for charity... I got mad and told her that if we all had an opinion like 'meh...', would there be any charities? No.. I honestly don't think so. And to be honest, at the moment, I'm feeling as if the Academy in general is taking the attitude of 'meh...' and that's just something I really can't take. Not in RL, not here ... Now, I know that if I say this, people think: "Fine then... leave, if you don't like the way it's being runned, then leave..." and if I seem unhappy about the Academy in general, then I apologize. I like this place, and it's still in my mind... Everytime I have some time, I log on here, for ... whatever... But still, I can imagine that Eclipse left after saying some bad words to the JAC's, so I can understand their reaction to this matter... but then, this is my opinion... _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website!
