Classes and fast saber style | |
Telemachus - ex-Student |
I'me new here, and still have to deal with a number of uncertainties with the academy, and with JKII in general. One of my current concerns is what classes, if any, I should attend before my undergoing my first trial.
My second question, pertains to the fast saber style. To date, I have had quite a lot of luck using the aforementioned style in multiplayer, much more than with other styles, and I am wondering if I should continue to practice fast, or if I should switch to yellow or red. |

oooh, welcome to the wonderful world of stances ![]() first of all you should get a general idea how the saber system works. you should now that there are 8 different swings and when to use them. you should attend jacen's "the way of a saber" class, it will give you the basics. then you should learn about the differences between the stances, and when to use them. visit legolas "beginer red" class and datheus "yellow stance" to get some knowledge of the other stances. after some time you might visit the "duel tactics" class from damage. and if you really feel ready go to the "learner trials preperation" from jacen. and i'd suggest you to ask the guys on the servers for some basics... they're always willing to help. _______________ Aeth S'kray *June 2002 +September 2003 |

Learn about all the saber styles if you can, and then use whatever you feel is most effective.
For me, I'm most effective with the blue stance. I need more practice with yellow and red, honestly, because my timing is horrible with them. I should probably join a class or two ![]() I'm more successful with the quick, precise strikes from the blue style. _______________ http://steamcommunity.com/id/citizen059 |

Welcome to the academy ![]() Since you mention you have a number of uncertainties with the game and the academy, i recommend starting out with beginning classes. They will help you with the basics of the game, some you might know, some you might not. I believe it will help you refine your basic skills, which will help you get better at more advanced stuff. ![]() Don't rush into your first trial, especially if your ultimate plan is to be a Knight or Trainer. The more you learn the better you will be. It's possible to learn just what you need to pass a trial and never truly learn anything, in my opinion. _______________ Death is only the beginning. |

Welcome to the Academy! Attend whatever classes you feel comfortable taking. ![]() As for stance practice you should *definately* work on yellow and red stances. Even if they're not your preferred stance you'll gain more insight on how to fight against those stances the more you know about em. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |
