No bail, I have an average job, but I work my ass out to get me guitars and gear. I don't spend it on anything else.. (except booze). I have some beautiful guitar effects too but I won't list them here to annoy you :D

Here is a link to a picture with me and my babies:

From left to right: Fender USA Stratocaster ('90-something), Ibanez electroacoustic AW100, I'm playing my Landola 12-string hottie, next up my baby Ibanez Artist AR100 from 1980 (pure Les Paul sound), and last but not least Gibson SG Custom from 1972/1974. Missing from the picture is my Gibson Les Paul Goldtop reissue which I keep at the place where we practise.

It's just that there's still a soft hum of a note after I strum a string and then stop that string. It wasn't only the string lower that's ever so slightly vibrating... hmmm...

EDIT: Yeah, I'm definately a noob. Apparently it just means they're in tune. WEeeeee. I figured out 2 Temptations bass lines by ear. Fun fun.

It's usually because you hit that string lower than the one your plucking. I have a fender jazz bass ripoff Ernie Ball liscenced. n_n'

Yeah, got this Peavey Millenium Edition 5 string for mah birthday. I was going to get a new video card, but, changed my mind in the end... long story. Anyhoot, first song I learned was Runnin With the Devil by Van Halen. :jj: Love them quarter notes.

I do need a strap though...

EDIT: Hey, what's a good method for muting the open strings? I just noticed that one was ringing when I was on the next string higher...:)

As for my setup, I just wanted a guitar and amp to start on so I bought one of them Ibanez guitar packs. Came with an Ibanez Gio guitar, and a small 15/30 (dont remember) watt amp. But I've been looking at new guitars on Ebay, probably going to get a Jay Turser (i think its an off brand sicne I've never heard of them before) for like $300.

Edit: As for tuning, I usually do standard, but if I'm playing guitar in my band (which isnt very often considering I play drums), most of our songs are in drop D (Sixth string down whole step). I'm not very good at guitar either, I just figured out how to do harmonics lol
