Yea, One is a piece of cake, especially if you have the musical insight Mike was talking about. It was actually the first song I learned to play, if not for the downstroke mayhem in the "Darkness imprisoning me" part, that's where my physique ended since I just couldn't shake my hand fast enough James Hetfield is an excellent musician and his talent with the guitar and singing at the same time is unsurpassed. Well.. I learned "One" in about 3 days, when I was 16. It's not THAT difficult to play by ear if you have a healthy knowledge of musical theory. In fact, I think the only difficult part is the second part of the "heavy" solo. I'd like to hear you play Yngwie Malmsteen's "Blitzkrieg" by ear. |
