This may not make alot of sense when I post this, because i'm not in a very good state of mind right now, but please bear with me. Recently, the way I have behaved has been unacceptable. I've abused the "powers" given to me, i've been vulgar, and i've basically treated everyone like crap. There is no real valid excuse for this, so firstly, I just want to apologise for everything i've done in the last few months. Secondly.. I feel that it's fair to let everyone know what's going on with me right now. Firstly, i'm having woman-problems right now, that are quite frankly destroying me, and leaving me hurt and confused. So, yeah... that's really a big issue right now. Another thing, is something I very seldom publicly talk about - the problems i've had with drugs and alcohol. I gave them up, but they're becoming an issue again.. which isn't exactly fun. Beyond all this, the first issue seems to be the worst... but, I have fears about my future. I'm HOPEFULLY going to college in September - i'm just waiting to hear back about whether or not i've been accepted.. which I probably won't be. Assuming I don't, I don't know what my future holds. So, I really don't know about anything right now. Basically, what i'm saying is that i'm confused, and don't know about anything anymore. So, i'm asking to be demoted from being a Knight for now, so I can reflect on the situation in my life, and decide what i'm going to do. The JA is part of my life, and I don't believe I can serve it well as a Knight considering my circumstances. In fact, I feel as though i've already made alot of stupid decisions as a Knight, and should be removed for my behavour. Lastly, I want to thank all of my friends here who have supported me, and helped me through what i've faced in the last while. Without you guys, i'd be nothing. Hi Mike. My thoughts and sympethies goes out to you. I repeat everyones comments when I say that if there is anything I can do to help, my hand is stretched out for you to take. The darkness of confusion and hardship is a part of all our paths we take. Take comfort in that all may weave and turn, but be strong and patient and you will come onto the path that leads you to such joy and happiness that today will be forgotten. You are clearly loved by many here and I hope that you find your way back to take your JAK title back (can someone please hold onto it for Mike...it is his and he does deserve it...this post is a good example to all us students....sheer humbleness...the greatest lesson for us to learn). I light a candle so that you know in your darkest hour, there is a light here at the JA to guide you home to a place where people love and care for you. I wish you all the luck you need Mike Like Javaguy said below, it's great to see you keeping to your principles like that! Next, I would like to thank you for the following: Remember a while ago, when I was searching for Fizz and the rest of the paddies, and I couldn't find them, and you went through all that trouble to find them? I'm still extremely thankful and touched by this. It is exactly what I perceive to be a Knight's job... to be there, which was exactly what you did for me, and I can't thank you enough. But then, you said you made some bad decisions towards people, and I don't see you all that often, so I wouldn't really know. Still, like Javaguy said, I'm impressed by your principles. To step down like that showed courage and strength, which shows you have more than enough of both! Whatever happens with those drugs and alcohol, I'm sure you will be able to overcome it! I'm completely sure that you won't fall back into old habits, and that you will throw down this darkside in your life. As it comes to the woman-problems... When I first read this I was going to ask you not to step down as JAK. But on further consideration, one of the things I respect about you is your commitment to the idea that the JAKs absolutely must meet certain requirements. If you feel you're not doing that, I'm sad to see you go, but I respect your principled decision. So I won't ask you to stay on as JAK. But I will ask you to come back. Keep standing by your principles. They separate us from the animals. Principles are constant; even when we fail to live up to them, they are still there for us, unchanged, when we're ready to come back to them. A life built around principles stands on solid foundation. You can build a life around your goals, but sometimes you'll fail to achieve them, and then it all falls apart. A life built around a particular person or people can be on shaky ground, too, as even the best people in the world are flesh and blood and can betray you. We have had our ups and downs in the past. Gotten into smaller fights here and there over minimal things. But we always straightned them out with ease. wow mate, i hope you get your issues sorted out and that you get back on the right path again, and i just want to let you know that, you are one of the few people i actually looked up to, you have no idea how known your name is out there in the public. Its offcourse a shame waching you leave, as many others ive known before, but i know its the best for you and that you need it thats why i just wanted to let you know, that your not a failiure here at the academy, even if you have your ups and downs, all people have that, even i have that. And all we have to do is back away alittle and wach it from afar and say "Hey, If i know i can do what i want, than there actually is nothing in my war stopping me" thats what gives the freedom in our lives, thats what keeps us going and living. and im sorry to hear about the drugs and such, but those things can also be gone, and yes i know its easyr than said, but if you realy fight for it, than you can forget about them. And remember, you can allways come back here for comport, becourse i know that alot of people here are willing to help. Thats another great thing about this place, people are so nice and helpful, its like one big family. Mike, im glad u got that all of your chest and i agree it really does take a strong guy to admit all that openly in public. You may have made some silly mistakes here, but that isnt important. What is important is you, your future and your RL.
