Ive been making my clan website for sometiem now and you check it otu at this link http://www.jediclan-koi.net ive been tryign to learn PHP and have no idea how to start all i want is to learn how to make guestbooks and a secure login.....If any can teach me or give me a website this would help me greatly thank-you.  _______________ |

After DJ gave me that site's name a couple of months ago e came into the following package:
EasyPHP - Sweet, Sweet package from some french folks. Intsalls PHP, MySql and Apache (you will need all these 3 to test your page on your pc, if you dont want to do that you can just use an editor and test it on the server you selected)very easely. PHPED - Very nice editor with HTML, PHP, etc. tag support. MySQL control center- Very nice to manage your MySQL databases. Hope it helps. Wait wait, there is a difference between the ability to use, and the offering of support for.
I would guess that Geocities... would offer neither, lol. But it is very possible that you may be able to use it. If not, erm get together with tyour clan members (which is supposed to include ME) and pitch in for a host, ICDSoft is pretty good, they have all the features and stuff and it's 5 bucks a month... not bad at all really... I'd be happy to help you if you want it, I;m learning PHP too so yeah... we could make stupid mistakes together lol. _______________ [Oi Oi Oi!!] |

Geocities does not support PHP, no.
While the manual is very comprehensive, it does nothing for those who are starting out. Odds are that tossing 'PHP Tutorial' into Google will help you find a site, as thats what I did. If you get really stuck, feel free to send me a message through one of the many ways listed in my profile. |
