ok uhm... first of all...hi ppl ^^ i am kinda new 2 JA so ill use this opportunity 2 say hi anyway...i cant find the freakin search button 4 this forum so im sry in advance if there is any post that discusses the same freakin problem =) well actually descripes the topic my problem pretty good... im kinda desperate coz ive really tried evrything 2 freakin solve my problem -.- u know ppl...im comin from germany an i get a low ping on evry european server (an i really mean evry...ok maybe ill get a high ping on servers hosted by a 56k lol...whatever) an i think those wireplay servers r all hosted in the UK right? (at least all wireplay servers ive tried out were hosted in the UK) ...so they r european servers...shouldnt be any problem 2 get a low ping on these... well...fact is that im gettin a high ping @ ALL wireplay servers...not only the academy ones =/ thats kinda bad -.- if anyone has the same prob or/an can help me out on this one...me would be very very thankful ^^ once again ppl > sry if this has been discussed once...i just cant find the freakin search button lol Ps: 2 save some time an unnecessary questions > yes ive got a DSL (lol) ...an yea im behind a proxy 2...strange thing is that even when i set the port an ip of the server 2 my proxy ill get a high ping 2 >_> PPs: props 2 virtue 4 a great class last time xD (m8 i wont forget that u blasted innocent ppl away ...) _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Try a tracert on the IP, and post the result on Wireplay's forums. They have a department for that kinda support, I think. |

Yeah, I dunno if there are wireplay servers hosted in other countries. There is only one here though. I find difficulties with the usa servers, but it's to do with how far away from the server you are.  But, all of the above commands and having a good connection should help it not to be to high. Most ppl use /rate 25000 though (as I). /cl_maxpackets 30 /snaps 40 /rate (try either something low-ish, like 5000, or 25000... whichever is best for you) Do a tracert on the ping if those commands don't work. PS: There's no search button on the forums. |
