Who is the coolest Sith ever (EU and the movies included)? My vote goes for Exar Kun. Damnit, he invented the doublebladed lightsabre. Sweet...
Btw, it must be Sith's, not just Dark Jedi's PS: I know Jar Jar/Gungans are the Devils tools of evil, but they do NOT count as Sith's. The simple reason is that I would have to carve my eyes out if I saw Lord Vader compared to a Jar Jar-clone. |

Yub Yub, what Lukes students had that the original Jedi tradition did not, was Luke's knowledge of the Dark side, and his originality. Not ever knowing much of the Jedi tradition, his academy was capable of failing miserably, or near perfection. Many traditions and beliefs, especially over the long millenia of the Jedi order, can stagnate and weaken any group. Luke never knew of Odan Urr, for instance, who 'interpreted' the rather cryptic Jedi Code before the first battle of the Valley of the Jedi. His interpretation became the only one accepted by the Order, even Master Yoda held fast to Odan's ideas, rather than teaching his own.
Luke never had these hang ups. He was warned of the darkside and had felt in within him giving him some taste of how it works without turning him, he was trained in the Force, he had a lightsaber, a kind heart, and a quick mind. Is there anything that more generally describes a Jedi than these qualities? And right after Bane, I would say that Palpatine is the coolest (eu).

He knew he couldent survive the attack, so he went into the slumber. When u become a Sith, u by Sith tradition obtain a Sith name, ALWAYS starting with "Darth"... i.e.
Count Dooku = Darth Tyranus Anakin Skywalker = Darth Vader Palpatine = Darth Sidious And I still think that Darth Bane is the coolest, he formed the Sith system, cuz those other stupid Sith's were eradicating themselves! _______________ Not back yet... The Jedi council sent hundreds of jedi against Kun, thousands of years before Luke was even a malicious twinkle in Anakins eye.
Kun used the power of the Massassi to store his "essence" in the templed on Yavin 4. He made his presence known when Luke established his academy there. within weeks, Exar had turned and discarded (killed) Lukes prime student. When Luke discovered who was responsible, he confronted the spirit and was soundly thrashed and sent into a coma, where he was unable to cmmunicate with anybody save Leias twins (Jaina and Jacen). After they found out what had happened, Lukes remaining students (11, he wanted to start with an even dozen), faced down Exar Kun and used their combined lightside energy to defet him for all time. But it does beg the question, what did 11 semi-trained students have that hundreds of the republics finest masters didn't? Anyway, there is all the info on Exar defeat. Slightly anal with reagrds to detail but there you go. |

That's the extra good part: It was Exar Kun's spirit who kicked Luke's ass!  Doesn't that say something about Luke the "Jedi Master"?
As far as I remember Exar Kun turned many Jedi Padawans to the Dark Side and made them attack their former masters. Altough not many of them succeeded in their task, the assasination attemps still shocked the Republic. Check http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/exarkun/eu.html for more info on him. And about that with 20 Jedi's vs. Exar Kun... i can't give you a name on a book or something like that, but I can tell you why it was. The Jedi Council decided to kill Exar Kun once and for all, stopping his war against the Republic. Therefore the Jedi's sendt many of their best Jedi's to kill Exar Kun, but by using the energy (killing them) of the Massasi race (the slaves he himself had created at Yavin 4) he was able to hide from the Jedi's as a spirit, but he couldn't leave Yavin 4. Although i havn't read those SW expanded universe books yet... Question: If Exar Kun invented the doublebladed-sabers, then how could he fight against Luke??  I mean, Maul had a doubleblade and he fought with it more than 10 years before Luke was even born, and more than 30 years before Episode 4 (i figured he also used it before ep1, for training) _______________ Not back yet... Two things wrong with that. Who said Vader was the most powerful sith? He just wiped out all but 3 jedi. Ok, so if Vader was the most powerful sith, and he was beaten by Luke, and Luke later beaten by Exar Kun (though Luke hung in a Jedi-coma and came back, Exar defeated by a combined force of like, 20 Jedi at once).
