Hey ya guys, it's good old Linkie here...I am about to make my first laptop purchase, and seeing that we all use a computer here, I am looking for advice from you guys. You know, best deals around, what to look out for, whatever you think will be useful for me to know before I make the purchase. I'm gonna use the notebook for college, so basically relatively mobile, Wi-fi, and can play DVDs and burn CDs. I'm jsut stuck on the processor and memory, especially since I think I"m gonna use it for light gaming. Problem is, I need advice to make sure that games like Jedi Academy can run smoothly on it. ("smoothly, not necessarily uber-prettily) I would really appreciate the advice. Thanx, guys. (btw, spending limit -->$1300) >_<

Ok, I actually only own a laptop..well me personally. And I play my JA on it, do work and everything, school. I am on a Compaq Presario 1500, and I must say it is really nice, but I had trouble with a part, and when i took it in, it took forever because they said compaq is a branch off of HP so they couldn't do it directly or something stupid like that. Im getting a new laptop soon, and that will either be a HP or a sony vaio. Heard those sony's are really good. :) Hope this kinda helps..sorry i didn't give you any models or anything.
